So yeah, full disclosure and as I alluded to in the title, I bought this as a Christmas gift for my brother. I was just hoping that it was the nicest hoodie Nike made, and between him being thrilled with it, and my evaluation of it when I got it in the mail, that may very well be true. He wore it to the gym the day after Christmas, and sent me a text thanking me again. The material felt super nice and well constructed. Is it worth the full$ 120? Maybe not, but I had a coupon and a reward that brought it down a decent bit, and I felt it was then worth it. After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. Feels great against my skin, wicks away the moisture so felt like I was n't even sweating. Sweat splotches were not noticeable at all. Will definitley explore other products. I purchased this used a few years ago and it has become a staple for hiking, camping, travel, and festivals. After the first year I cut the drawstring and tied it in a knot, much better and more practical. The light blue color stains easy. Sometimes this shirt stinks to high heaven after short use, other times I can wear it for days without stank. Washes easy and dries quickly. UPF continues to work after many years of regular use and washing, it provides protection from the sun and mild wind. It's so soft against bare skin and comfortable to sleep in. I use as a base layer, except when I use to layer over tank top when it's hot, or wool hoodie when it's cold. The pocket and zipper is great. No complaints.
