Bought these as a gift for my husband… He had used them once now. Really likes the glove

5 JimB
[ These gloves are warm, comfortable, durable, and stylish. I haven ’ t owned a pair of leather ski gloves in nearly twenty years and these have lived up to their reputation. I will buy other Hestra gloves for myself and family members.

5 Virginia_John
[ The dexterity I have in these gloves is amazing for how warm they are. The leather is very soft and supple and the liners included are not bulky at all. The gloves fit very well and I am most excited for the included handcuffs.

5 Rjmehan
[ The removable liner makes the gloves good for lighter insulated touring and warm downhill. Found the gloves to be warmer with a more snug fit. I ’ m 6 ’ with average sized hands and the size 9 fits well. The wrist straps come in handy when using bare hands on the lift. I ’ ve had gloves from 4 different major brands and these Hestras outperform them all.

5 MikeyK
[ Needed gloves that would hold up for this very warm blooded guy… they ’ re great for everyday chills, but hold up on the ski runs in Colorado too.

My son is on snow, 4+ days a week. He ’s blown through a number of other gloves that are more expensive than the spark. I wear other Black Diamond mittens that have always been durable, warm, and comfortable. I ’ m anticipating that these will last longer than other more expensive gloves that my son has worn. Black Diamond makes great product.

5 Mackenzie W.
I ’ ve only bought this pair because my 5 year old pair was stolen. Through probably 40+ patrol days a year and countless ski and touring days these are consistently the best moderate cold gloves I ’ ve ever had. The leather is durable and the insulation is perfect. It ’s an excellent glove. Only con: BD gloves tend to fit a bit big for the size and it isn ’ t consistent across all gloves. Best to try before you order

5 Stephen B.
Hands down these are the best gloves I ’ ve ever worn. I ’ ve had other name brand gloves but the quality of these surpass every other brand.

5 MICHAEL M.
I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

5 John D.
I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.

These gloves remind me of TNF stuff from the 80's, amazing quality and thoughtful design with high end materials.

5 Gichan
These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

5 Debbie
I love my new gloves. Used them in the rain and they kept my hands warm and dry. Fit is perfect too.

5 Dean
I work Mountain Patrol in the San Bernardino mountains. I have used the North Face gear for a long time; it has never let me down. This is my second pair of this line, and they get the job done when you need it most.

[ Very comfortable and flexible gloves. These seem warm and will be great for outdoor winter chores due to the durability of the leather and the waterproofing.

[ High quality 3M Thinsulate gloves. These gloves are super warm and soft on the inside. They look rugged with their leather on the outside. Perfect for working outdoors or outdoor activities. They arent stiff meaning you can actually feel what youre trying to pick up. Even come with a removable wrist strap so if needed you can take the gloves off and still know where they are and then quickly put them back on.

5 LindaL
[ The Wells Lamont HydraHyde insulated gloves are perfect for cold weather hand protection. The leather repels moisture but stays flexible. The insulation keeps hands warm in cold weather. I really like the knitted wrist as it keeps snow out. These gloves seem very durable. The downside to these is that my dexterity is n't great when wearing them. My fine motor skill tasks are a bit tricky. Overall, these gloves keep my hands warm and dry, and they are affordable to purchase.

5 GabrielL

I do love the new gloves. I used the size chart and I feel like the XL was the right size for me. The look and material are of a high quality. They keep me warm in cold conditions skiing. For future builds I wish:- They had a zipper pouch for hand warmer and doubles as a vent. I would recommend these gloves and would purchase again.

5 mary

5 Ski Gloves
So happy with my purchase. My daughter said her hands have never been warmer or dryer.

5 Active winter sports
I have a pair of these in the 3 finger claw type, they are my colder weather ski gloves. I got these for my teen kid since we go ski in colder temps( under 20F). These are nice and toasty and keep kid's hands warmer than the Scott gloves which are great for above 25F. I was able to get for the same price as Amazon so picking up at Dick's House of Sport was easy and we got to use them the next day. My pair of Hestras are going strong 5+ years later and still fine. At$ 110 the features Hestra should provide but does n't on these gloves were wrist tethers and a clip to keep the pair together( provided on their more expensive gloves) I added both myself which is easy to do. Even though they are expensive I think they will last years and years. Make sure to put the leather conditioner on the leather sections to keep them in good shape( it is sold separately).

The gloves are very well made and extremely warm. Unfortunately they are too big and can not be returned at this purchase site. I would buy again if 1 size smaller available

I still love these gloves and will continue to use them. HOWEVER, I did gain some more experience with them. Doing astrophotography in Arches in 21 degree weather taught me that I 'll need to add another layer and use hand warmers with these. They were fine while the blood was pumping, but when it came to waiting around, my fingers got numb. They would be perfectly fine for anything above 32 degrees. The pull tabs and large openings made it easy to get my hands in and out quickly. Adjusts at the wrist and opening for a tighter fit.

They are durable, warm and comfortable. They probably run a bit on the small side- I ordered a large, which is usually a bit big for my hands, but these fit perfectly- probably due to the insulation. Frequently Asked Questions For Insulated Leather Gloves

Insulated leather gloves are designed to provide warmth and protection in cold weather conditions. They are commonly used for outdoor activities such as skiing, snowboarding, and winter work tasks, where both dexterity and insulation are important. The leather material offers durability and resistance to wear, while the insulation helps retain heat, making them suitable for various cold-weather environments. Many people also choose these gloves for everyday use during winter months to keep their hands warm and comfortable.

Insulated leather gloves are designed to provide warmth in cold weather by combining the natural insulating properties of leather with additional thermal materials. The leather acts as a barrier against wind and moisture, while the insulation traps heat generated by the body, keeping hands warm. Many styles also feature a lining that enhances comfort and further improves heat retention. This combination makes them suitable for various outdoor activities in chilly conditions.

When selecting insulated leather gloves, consider features such as insulation type, which can enhance warmth without adding bulk. Look for waterproof or water-resistant materials to keep your hands dry in wet conditions. Additionally, check for a comfortable fit and flexibility, as well as reinforced palms for improved grip and durability. Adjustable cuffs can also help seal out cold air and snow, providing better protection during outdoor activities.

Insulated leather gloves can vary in their water resistance depending on the materials and construction used. Many insulated leather gloves are designed to be water-resistant, which helps keep hands dry in light rain or snow. However, some models may incorporate waterproof technologies to provide enhanced protection against moisture. It is important to check the specific features of the gloves to understand their level of water resistance or waterproofing.

To choose the right size for insulated leather gloves, start by measuring the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Use a measuring tape or a piece of string to get the measurement, then compare it to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. It's important to consider the fit you prefer; some may like a snug fit for dexterity, while others may prefer a looser fit for added comfort. Additionally, keep in mind that insulation can affect the overall fit, so trying on gloves with the intended layers underneath can help ensure a proper fit.

Insulated leather gloves are typically made from high-quality leather, which provides durability and protection. The insulation is often composed of materials like synthetic fibers or down, designed to retain warmth while allowing for flexibility. Additionally, some gloves may feature waterproof membranes to enhance weather resistance, ensuring hands stay dry and comfortable in various conditions.

Yes, insulated leather gloves are suitable for outdoor activities such as skiing or snowboarding. They provide warmth and protection against cold weather while allowing for dexterity and grip, which are essential for handling equipment. The combination of insulation and leather helps to keep hands warm and dry in snowy conditions, making them a practical choice for winter sports enthusiasts.

Gauntlet-style insulated leather gloves feature a longer cuff that extends over the wrist and often up the forearm, providing additional protection against cold air and snow. This design is particularly beneficial for activities in harsh winter conditions, as it helps to keep warmth in and prevents snow from entering the glove. Standard insulated leather gloves typically have a shorter cuff, making them easier to wear with jackets and providing more dexterity for tasks that require fine motor skills. The choice between the two styles often depends on the specific needs of the activity and the level of protection desired.

Insulated leather gloves are known for their durability, often outperforming other types of winter gloves made from synthetic materials. The natural properties of leather provide resistance to wear and tear, making them suitable for various outdoor activities. Additionally, when properly cared for, leather can withstand harsh weather conditions while maintaining its structural integrity. This makes insulated leather gloves a reliable choice for those seeking long-lasting winter protection.

When selecting insulated leather gloves for work or outdoor use, consider the level of insulation needed for the specific climate and activity. Look for gloves that offer a good balance of warmth and dexterity, allowing for ease of movement while performing tasks. Additionally, check for features such as waterproofing and breathability, which can enhance comfort during extended wear. Finally, ensure the fit is snug but not restrictive, as this will help maintain grip and control.
