I bought this as a layering piece. I live in Ohio and our weather can go from 75 to 20 in a couple hours. Having 3 kids in outdoor sports l like being able to take off or add layers and this is the perfect outer layer for me or to use alone on like a 45- 50 degree day. It ’s beautiful in person and is great quality. I ’ m 5 ’ 3 125 lbs and I bought a small. I could zip up the xsmall but I wanted the room to wear layers under but not look too bulky if worn alone. The sleeves come to about mid palm on me but just makes it more comfy.

This coat is everything from the well- designed color- blocking to the gender neutral olive colorway to the tonal grid pattern to the zippers to the elastic cuffs( so much easier for ski gloves than the traditional velcro) to the extreme warmth. This is my first jacket from Prana. Loved the field coat look, utilitarian but also nice touches with the side zips. Makes for an easy, casual look and the quilting is such a cute detail. It's slightly oversized, so order your regular size or even one size down if you like your jackets fitted. Probably going to order the vest version as well!

I really like this jacket but it runs very large. I typically wear a medium in jackets( even though this is my first Prana jacket), but I ended up having to return the medium for a small, and that one was too big as well, so I had to return it for an XS. The XS is still a little big but it will work and is comfortable. For reference I am 5 ’ 8 ”, 135 lbs.
