The best way to describe the fabric is to compare it to the Athleta brand I also wear. The Athleta brand has a buttery soft feel, a bit slick, thinner feeling fabric, and I do love them. By comparison, the Calia fabric for this legging has a slightly course, thicker feel, making it a bit warmer with a more substantial feel, which I also love. And when I say “ course ”, I should clarify that it is still a very soft fabric and you won ’ t be disappointed. Both are great in their own way, and I wear either depending on what I ’ m doing.

[ I got these for my wife. She said: I am a working mom of 7 young kids and I like to keep in shape both for my physical health as well as my mental health( and sanity!) and I need workout gear that can withstand a lot of wear and tear as well as make me feel good while wearing it. These high waisted running leggings really fit the bill! I used them around the house to get tasks done as well as for both for short( 1- 2mile) and long( 5+ mile) runs. There are both pros and cons to this model- the PROS: 1) the material is SO comfortable and has the perfect blend of stretch and compression. 2) the fabric weight is ideal for spring running- it breaths but it also holds in heat so my legs felt great for the duration of each run 3) The pockets are positioned so I could be hands free and still keep my essentials( like phone and energy gel packs) accessible during the run. 4) the waistband is thick so there is not a small single circle of pressure on my abdomen, which is an improvement from other brands I 've tried 5) there is no seam or pressure point anywhere on the tights that was uncomfortable, so I did n't experience any rubbing or discomfort for the duration of wearing them ever! There are only a couple CONS: 1) I felt they run a bit small, especially in the waist. I know they are intended for compression, but getting them on required a bit of discomfort, especially at the top of the waist- it is exceptionally small. I 'd recommend sizing up if you have a larger waist or prefer more room on the waistline. Since they are high rise, it definitely `` cuts '' into the area under your rib- cage at first and is tricky to pull up. Once I got them up, they were fine and they stayed in place perfectly, but I might size up if I buy a second pair for this reason 2) I feel they are a bit long to be considered 7/8 length( I 'm 5' 8 '' 125 lbs)- they fit more like a traditional legging, which was fine for my use but if I truly wanted 7/8 length I 'd say they are longer than that. Overall these are great leggings for running- they stay in place, keep me cool, held up to washes and wear and tear and still look new, and fit comfortably with no rubbing. I 'd definitely recommend them for anyone who wants to run!

When wearing them during pilates and weightlifting, I did n't have to constantly adjust them, which is AWESOME in comparison to other leggings. They have slight compression to them but not so much that they feel super tight. The seams in them feel nonexistent. The way the gusset is made makes the inseam fit perfect without any riding up, pinching or pulling. Even as a short girl these are the perfect length. As a plus size girl it can sometimes be hard to find leggings that can accommodate midsection weight without the legs fitting in an odd fashion…these nailed the overall fit perfectly. I would 100% recommend these to all of my girl friends.

These however are mid rise and they felt really good. The only thing I was missing with this was pockets, which is a feature I ’ ve been looking for when shopping for leggings. But remember these are tights so there is a difference. That ’s not a deal breaker for me though, I would definitely buy more in other colors.

[ The leggings are the perfect every day legging! I ’ ve worn them while taking walks, cleaning, grocery shopping to even lounging on the couch! The comfort is there and feels good against the skin. I ’ m a die hard Nike Sculpt legging kind of girl and these are the closest I can get to them! They are made of tightly knit fabric which give the perfect compression- sucks everything in and stops the jiggling! After hours of wearing them I find they do not stretch out and keep their shape and compression. I find the deep curve waist band flattens the stomach which I find incredibly flattering too! I feel more supported and compressed without wearing shape wear. The waist band has maybe an inch and a half elastic sewn into it and the jury is still out on that. I can not make up my mind if I like it or if I don ’ t like it. I do think the elastic helps them from slipping so much though. Overall I think they ’ re a great buy minimal slipping while moving, excellent fabric, NON see through fabric and they are durable!
