[ On first impression, I was really impressed with both the form and function. The fit was spot on for what I like. The pants have a wider cut, which I actually appreciated — they ’ re roomy without feeling baggy. I ’ m on the shorter side, so I gave them a quick cuff at the bottom to get the right length, and it looked great. I ’ m about a 32 waist and a Medium fit comfortably on my waist. A belt would have made them feel more snug but was not necessary at all. I wore them to a busy conference and was constantly moving between packed sessions and icy AC- filled rooms, and through it all, the pants kept me feeling cool and comfortable. That ’s not something I can say about the pants I wore on the other days of the conference.. Nike clearly paid attention to the small details with these. One of my favorite design touches is a subtle hook near the hip — it ’s perfect for attaching a badge lanyard or keys without adding bulk. It ’s the kind of utility that ’s there when you need it and disappears when you don ’ t. Clean, minimal, but functional. The fabric is a fantastic. It ’s soft to the touch but feels really durable, like it ’ ll hold up to long days and a range of activities. I love that even though it ’s a performance fabric, the pants still look polished enough to pass as professional wear. That versatility is a huge win — you can style them casually, for something sporty, or even for a more dressed- up setting. What really surprised me was the inner pocket tucked into the left pocket. It ’s small, but it makes a big difference. I carry a slim wallet that can sometimes fall out of other pants pockets, but this interior pocket kept it secure and in place all day. To me esthetically they are n't very pleasing but I do have to admit I use them every time I wear these. The belt loops add the acception for work attire. [ Fits well, a little on tighter side but loosens up when hiking. The fabric is interesting, it ’s somewhat softer than Patagonia Quandary pants( my other favorite). Only concern is the fabric seems to soak up moisture a bit more than I expected on damp days.

[ Used them during a week long backpacking trip in Yosemite. They did phenomenally going up and down the mountain. Lower warm elevations were no problem due to its breathability and high cold elevations were no problem once moving but easily fit some long John ’s underneath. The only down side is the zippered right leg pocket. It didn ’ t rain on my trip but I tested the water shedding in the shower. The zipper is a shire place for water to seep in during a downpour. Still love them though!
