This is just an early review, I have not worn them for any length of time yet. They are not as heavy as the previous model, but are light weight and more flexible. Im not sure if they are as warm as the previous model. Pay close attention to the carhartt sizing chart. In the previous model, I wore a large, in these I were a medium. Im returning mine for the right size. And this time i 'll probably order the ones with the wool, assuming they are warmer.

Bought these to use as an alternative to fleece lined work pants. Much prefer these as it provides more flexibility, yet keeps you warm. They fit well and pair with my canvas work pants. I particularly like the idea that if the weather warms up enough, I can simply take them off, whereas with lined pants, you 're stuck unless you keep an additional pair of pants with you. These launder well too. The seams in them are placed well so there's no `` tugging '' or tightness. To me, they 're a great cold weather investment.

Large would have definitely been too loose and smalls probably a bit tight but not uncomfortably, and would have just fit more like compression shorts. [ I got these for winter runs after some tech- fabric athletic underwear I had was causing some pretty bad chaffing. I 've put in about 35 miles with these and love them so far. I 'm also looking forward to using these on an upcoming ski trip, and I see no reason they wo n't be equally effective for that activity. Also, I generally struggle with itchiness when wearing wool items in direct contract with my skin, but have no issues with these.

These are in my daily driver rotation. No complaints, especially at the sale price I picked them up for. Tencel blend durability seems fine for merino, so they 're reasonable value.

[ Had some merino blend boxers of unknown countenance that were my go- to workout undies in cold weather. They finally wore out and I checked the label to see if I could get a next- gen replacement. Happy to see that Icebreakers was still there. So I bought three. And they rule.

[ I 've owned other Icebreaker wool products so I thought I 'd give these a try. Not disappointed at all. Extremely comfortable. Washes and dries quickly and easily. I 'll be getting more as summer approaches; great wear and warmth for winter and breathable when layering. Runs true to size labeled. and no shrinkage( I wash in cold detergent and line dry). Pricey but ultimately worth it. Cotton is forever banished in the 'under' department.

[ I bought these a couple weeks ago and have worn and washed a couple times. The briefs are true to size. I washed in luke warm water, but I did n't dry them, and they did n't shrink or pill. Very comfortable for the cool weather we 're still having in April.

[ There are few things I could review that I love more than these boxers. They feel good, they perform great, and they wear really well. I used them on a 6 day bike tour this spring as my only 'off bike' undergarment and need to tell you I looked forward to their comfy form fit each day after the long ride in my riding shorts. My wife says 'it's gross' not to wash them every day, but I did n't and they did just fine! So, they have earned a place in my weight conscious panniers. Thanks for a great product!

[ This pair of underwear feels awesome! I washed it with a regular load of laundry and did not put it in the dryer to dry. Truly a great pair of underwear.
