I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. The extra cargo pockets on the legs are great to put your phone in and they snap so your items are secure, but still easily accessible. I 'm 5'11 '', 169lb Size 31 reg is a tad bit short and tight but I have been hitting legs recently in the gym. Not enough to return as I do n't think any other size would fit better.
