The stretch fabric moves well with you and feels high quality. I also really appreciate the functional chest pocket — it's surprisingly handy for holding my phone or wallet when I ’ m on the go. My only note is that the material runs a bit thick, so I probably won ’ t be reaching for it during the warmer months. I ’ ve only owned a couple of these for a month or so, but I think I ’ ve found the perfect summer shirt. Stylish, versatile, comfortable, and wrinkle- resistant. I wore it for a beach day this past weekend when I wasn ’ t on the water, am thinking of how I can dress it up for a casual summer wedding next month, and won ’ t leave on any summer trips/vacations without them. I usually like a slimmer fit, but this is a perfect relaxed fit. I ’ m not swimming in the material, but it ’s also very airy and comfortable, and just fitted enough to look really nice. I can ’ t thank Fjallraven enough for carrying size xs in men ’s!! If I had to pick a gripe with the shirt it ’s that it doesn ’ t have 100% full mobility when completely lifting your arms out and above your head, but I also know that ’s not what this shirt is intended for. Terrific product and a fair price for how exceptional it is.

Amazing shirt and a go- to for me, especially for personal travel. Material has a linen type feel but does not wrinkle and holds its shape much better than linen- more durable. Also not scratchy on the skin like some cheaper alternatives. Great for a hot day, almost in replace of a broken in Hawaiian shirt but nice enough to wear out to dinner, etc. I own it in both the Sand Stone tan and the Green colors. Periodically check to see if Fjallraven has released a light sky blue, which to me would be the best color… please make one Fjallraven! I ’ d buy two;)

Very well made flannel. It feels like thick vintage flannel from your Dad. Thinker than North Face Arroyo flannels. Reading other reviews, the size recommendations are all over the place… stick true to size. I am 6 ’ 0 ”, 170 lb with long armed canoeing/running build and bought a large in this( and wear a large across North Face and other brands of flannels). This Valley Twill fits very similar to the North Face Arroyo flannel… except this Valley Twill is about 1 ” shorter in the body. Compared to other flannels that I own this is slightly shorter in body… but everything else accurate. The Pike ’s Purple flannel color looks great and was half- off on Dick ’s website. Great value for thick flannel. Recommended.

[ I 'm a huge fan of Smartwool products in general and own many of them. I love the comfort and performance of merino wool and they do it as well as anybody out there. I am generally most comfortable in my hiking clothes. However, I do work in an office and ca n't always get away with the `` athleisure '' thing. This shirt is super comfy, as one would expect of a well made merino shirt, but it has the collar and looks the part. It's also made to a high quality standard and is very easy to care for.
