This is my first free people purchase. They are very oversized. For reference I am 5 ’ 5 and around 145- 150lbs and I ordered a medium. I wanted the oversized look, but I could ’ ve gone with a small. I think because these are not meant to be high waisted, the waist is a lot bigger than it normally would be for a medium. I do have to pull them up really high and tie them tight with the drawstring, otherwise they will drag on the ground( So, good for tall girlies!). The fabric is light weight, which is what I wanted for the summer time. I also like how they look, just wish the fit was a bit better. For comparison, I also ordered the oversized Nike sweats in a medium and those fit perfect size wise. These are bigger than those. I typically wear a sz Large in womens golf pants so i bought large. They fit just fine, however stretched out a little throughout the day and they are super roomy. I went back and bought a couple pairs in the mediums and they also fit. I feel they fit just a little on the larger size. The blue is not really a navy, it's like a dark slate blue, but a nice color. Just do n't think you 'll be able to wear them with true navy outfits if you are a matchy- matchy person. Like any clothing, the fit depends on your build, but I love the tapered style — these make my calves look like an NFL running back's. I 'm about 6' 0 '', 170 lbs, very lean — similar to VRST ambassador Devonta `` Smitty '' Smith. Please, I 'm practically begging you: offer more colors! A lighter grey, balsam green, deeper khaki, or a good shade of red — I 'd buy every one. Also, consider adding belt loops. Keep the stretchy liner at the waist, maybe tweak or remove the strings that get destroyed in the dryer, but belt loops would make it easy to tuck in a polo without looking ridiculous on the course. Love the fit, love the material, and I 'd throw even more money your way with these small updates. Thanks for considering it — I think the brand is highly competitive in this crowded space and is well- positioned to take another step forward.

As a bigger girl( taller and heavier), these pants fit amazingly. They are n't my typical jogger but I took a shot on these and they might actually be my new favorites. Great pants. Best fitting Carhartt pants I have had. Fabric is great feeling and looking though it does show wrinkles a bit more than I would prefer. Pocket layout is nearly perfect. My only gripe with them is that the extra pocket that is thigh level on the right side is pretty much pointless. If I put anything in it I can feel it on the back of my knee and it gets in the way when sitting. When there is nothing in the pocket I can sometimes feel the lining or stitching from it. I think the pants would be better if it was just omitted.

These pants feel like quality. They are 98% pre- washed organic cotton and feel great, soft, not stiff. They are a little narrow, so you might want to size up. The pockets are ample and there are draw strings at the ankle to prevent creepy crawlies from crawling up your pant legs. The length is good if you are on the shorter side. If you are over 5' 5 '' they may be short.

I wore these pants to hike a local trail and although they were comfortable, they were a little short for my liking. I 'm 5' 8 '' and they came to the top of my ankle hiking boots. The color was great for tick checking which is a must!!
