[ I loved this T, just the right weight of fabric for running/workouts or even just running errands/lounging. The fit is superb, I was worried it might shrink with washing but it did not at all. The material is soft and smooth and holds up very well to washing and to sweat! I do notice that it does show any raised spots like the straps on a sports bra but not very noticeably. [ Really enjoy this shirt. The material is super soft and comfortable to wear. It really is moisture wicking and kept me cool with minial clinging when I was sweating. I was nervous at first because it looked like it was going to be little boxy. After trying it on, that was not the case. It fit me like a traditional t- shirt but slightly taylored. I liked that it did n't hang and look sloppy like a traditional t- shirt. I think the fabric choice also contributed to that overall well put together look. My favorite feature would have to be UPF 50+ sun protection. As someone who has had skin cancer in the past I always love knowing my clothes are an extra source of protection. My one thing I may change is making the shirt every so slightly longer. I am 5' 7 and it hit me right at my hip bones. Which might be personal preference, but having it be just a tad longer would be beneficial and slightly more comfortable.

Very well made flannel. It feels like thick vintage flannel from your Dad. Thinker than North Face Arroyo flannels. Reading other reviews, the size recommendations are all over the place… stick true to size. I am 6 ’ 0 ”, 170 lb with long armed canoeing/running build and bought a large in this( and wear a large across North Face and other brands of flannels). This Valley Twill fits very similar to the North Face Arroyo flannel… except this Valley Twill is about 1 ” shorter in the body. Compared to other flannels that I own this is slightly shorter in body… but everything else accurate. The Pike ’s Purple flannel color looks great and was half- off on Dick ’s website. Great value for thick flannel. Recommended.

Does n't wick moisture as well as I had hoped but overall keeps me smelling fine after a few days, is comfortable in cold and heat, and looks good( bought black so doesnt show moisture) Downsides are price( all merino shirts are expensive so not that big of a downside) and extra effort to clean( again all wool products).

[ I appreciate the fine quality of the IB products and I specifically purchased this item for the next time I do overseas travelling because I like to have basic base layers. I now try to purchase mostly only 100% merino as this really makes a difference in the `` smell factor '', especially when you might be wearing the item for a couple days at a time. I like that these hand wash nicely in the sink and dry quickly. I purchase a large in t- shirts because my preference is a looser fit.

I received this wool shirt for my birthday and I recently took it with me on a 6 night canoe trip. It was perfect to wear around the campfire and not worry about the sparks. I wore it every day from wake up to bedtime. It was perfect for cool temperatures, while paddling the canoe and even during rain showers it kept me dry. A 'must' item to bring on my next outdoor trip and will look into getting for other members of the family. It is a bit itchy( wore a long sleeve top underneath on this trip due to the cool temperatures) but am told that after a few washes it will soften up.

I 'm a flannel fiend and this one is my go- to. It's well- made, feels thick and substantial — definitely wears more like a light jacket. I wear small or medium in tops and got this in a medium, which leaves room to wear a long sleeve underneath. I hope that it keeps coming out in more colorways because I 'd get them all!
