However, I decided to wear them on my hike that day. The terrain was snow- covered icy trails in the foothills. Within 15 minutes, I literally had to remove my mittens because my hands were do warm! Great quality gear. I have used OR equipment for over a decade in some pretty harsh environments and I have always been impressed. These were bought for snowboarding, and I was worried after the first trip when one of the pull tabs seemed to have broken. However, the he tab was meant to be easily adjusted/replaced and I was able to clip it right back in place. These are warm for cold days on the mountain and durable.
