The zipper and zipper pulls are also surprisingly sturdy and great quality for being a very light weight jacket. The design of the jacket is super cool and interesting, there's a few handfuls of design elements that make it stand out more than just a plain black jacket- definitely looks very modern with the color blocking of a very dark grey and black fabric, and the subtle Nike logo stitched in black on the back. The fabric has a windbreaker feel to it, which can be a little noisy during a run, but I prefer it as protection against weather elements. The weather has not been cooperating for me to test this jacket out with long runs( spring, where are you?!) but I have taken a few short walks/runs while wearing it and absolutely love it. I love how thin and lightweight the jacket is while still providing warmth and comfort. I love the oversized fit and design elements. The only thing I personally would have added would be a hood but still think it's great without one.

I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I bought these trousers more than 2 years ago. Got pregnant in the middle and only did I start wearing them since a year go. I am so impressed by how well they perform. I 've worn them in hikes, climbing, just for regular day wearing and at home. They fit me really good, so it's easy to wear them for different occasions and styles. The buckwheat color is beautiful and a nice change from typical black. They have a stretch waistband and stretch panels on the sides that helped as I was returning back from portpartum abdomen size. The knee precut space is roomie enough for hiking, but for climbing they felt a little tight, so I would n't recommend. I absolutely love the fabric for southern Spain weather, in summer they feel breathable and light, I just rolled the bottom of the legs, and in spring and autumn they feel perfect. In winter they also felt ok on milder weather days. They have a somewhat waterpellent treatment that also serves as dirt repellent that make them ideal if you work in dirty environments, the stain dries and you can brush it off. The pockets are so convenient I love using them at home to carry my phone and other essentials around comfortably. An overall great pair of trousers. Have n't tried the improved fit, but if this pair ever dies I will be repurchasing.

I have 2 older style fit trousers( I still love them and they are holding up well) but I love the new improvements. The new style actually flatters ones bum. The older styles did n't really do much for the rear view, but Fjall is correct( improved fit) is an understatement. Great quality, and now an even better fit. The fit guide is spot on. Do n't skip the measurement part( and don; t be afraid when you are a bigger size than you are used to, the fit guide is accurate).

Recently bought the Mountain Hardwear Summit Grid Hoody and do n't love it because it's short at the waist and the material is too lightweight yet stiff'ish. This Trail fleece from OR is a bit heavier, drapes well( soft), and the neck buttons up so nicely. Wind does n't get through very easily, but can be felt when above 10mph.

Was looking for a high- visibility running jacket similar to the Patagonia Houdini Air( wind resistance+ breathability). I have both the regular Houdini( size L) and Houdini Air( M). Keeping this in M. FIT: I 'm 5' 1, 150 lbs, 34DD, round belly. With a Smartwool 250 baselayer or a thin long- sleeved cotton t, fit is close to the body, but not tight( Houdinis run much slimmer); pretty forgiving of my belly:) Perfect length for me, falling around mid- hip; Houdinis are longer, falling below my butt. FEEL/FUNCTION: I 've worn this for multiple runs( incl. light rain, strong wind). This feels somewhere in- between the Houdinis in terms of wind- blocking and breathability. V. light rain beaded on the surface of the jacket, but left a mark when smushed into the fabric. Material is a matte, slightly stretchy, more fabric- y( vs. plastic- y) material- like a slightly thicker/heavier Air. Hood fits over thick pony- tail securely when fully zipped, and stays in strong wind. Doubles as a running and casual jacket better than the Houdinis due to a more forgiving fit around the mid- section( for looser- fitting street clothes), shorter length( more flattering for my short stature), and zippered side pockets. Packs down small enough for an upcoming 2. 5 week trip to Europe( 24L bag). COLOR: Azalea appears neon coral in the pictures, which is what originally attracted me. Unfortunately, it actually is not neon at all, and is more like a salmon pink that leans more pink than orange. It is slightly see- through. LOVE the green( Grove) colorway- something about the color+ matte fabric texture+ matching zippers makes it look SO smooth and rich and clean. I 've used this jacket on longer runs in the temp ranges of 5° to 25° and it performs really well. No issues using it woth just a tee underneath. I like the material layout because it puts insulation where you need it. It has solid wind protection as well. I could see this piece used for hiking as well. I 've been using this for a couple months now and really like it! I 've found it cuts ~75- 80% of felt wind and even as a softshell shrugs occasional rain pretty well. Mine wet out after about 25 minutes in light/medium rain and when soaked was n't transferring much water to my baselayer. Perfect when you really should 've brought a Helium Rain but you did n't. While not quite breathable enough for me when running unless its real cold( I 'm a warm person) it's great for everything less aerobic than that for me. The cuffs are elastic on the inside of your wrist which works well with a watch. The single hood cinch works well to keep your hood on while minimizing adjustments. Pocket linings double as vents, are big enough for a smartphone or light gloves, and are not sewn down at the top allowing you to stash your map or mail in a pinch. The Hood stow works well when you plan to use it, but I did find myself just tucking the hood inside if I was in a rush and could n't be bothered to roll it up. The hem cinch is located on the right side and is easy to adjust one handed and has low profile hardware which is fine under a backpack belt. I 'm 5'11/ 210#/ 43 '' chest and wear a Men's Large size tshirt and find the size large fits me perfectly with a trim fit. Key for me with fit is that in my other OR jackets like the Foray and Superstrand I 've needed to size up to XL to have the hem fit over my butt. Not so with the Ferrosi- the stretchiness of the fabric and cut works perfectly for me. I normally wear an echo or vigor top underneath mine and layer any insulation over. If I wanted to put insulation under the Ferrosi I would need to size up once. The jacket is lighter, and more flattering than my other windshell from another company. Combined with the comfiness of the stretch I 've found myself grabbing it when just going out running errands and it's almost always at the top of my pack heading out into the woods now.

The most comfortable waistband. It has some type of very soft liner in the waistband that is a treat. Yes, these are a little higher- waisted then my other outdoor joggers, but it works because you can easily and comfortably, roll down the waistband without bulk. Material is so, so comfy( and no swish/swish when walking, etc). I 'm a 27/4 pants in Women's and probably could 've sized down to an XS). Length great at 5' 4 but the design is such that I can comfortably roll- up the bottom once and they still look 'cute' and are functional.

Finally, the absolute perfect pair of pants!! I am so excited! I have long been obsessed with the Ferrosi fabric, and joggers are my favorite style of pants. They are legitimately the most comfortable and functional pants I 've ever owned and I hope they make so many more colors. I fluctuate between the 16 and 16W sizes in the regular Ferrosi pants, and the XL in the joggers fit me perfectly. I could also probably wear the XXL but they 'd be significantly looser than the model in the pic and I like them a little form fitting. I would say to size down if you 're in between sizes unless you want them baggy. The drawstring waist is so comfy and non- restrictive, and the cuffs hit right at the ankle of my 5'10 '' frame. They are the perfect amount of stretchy but hold their shape, they 're super breathable and water resistant, and honestly more comfortable than most of my pajama pants! Way to go OR!

I like this hoodie a lot and the material feels great. Size up for correct fit unless you like it more tight fitting. I usually wear an XL and like them to be a little longer. This XXL is perfect( fits like an XL). OR please restock sizes! I would buy another grey one and black would be a nice option too.

It's been a beautiful spring so far here in the PNW; cold in the mornings, but still kind of chilly in the afternoon. This hoodie is perfect for this weather. It's nice and warm in the morning, but does n't seem to over heat when the sun hits it. A perfect hoodie for around the fire or those early morning inconvenient coffee bike meetups. The only low point of the hoodie is that it's sizing is a little on the smaller side. Fit's a little more like an XL than a XXL Other than that, it might be my new favorite hoodie.

These pants are awesome for winter outdoor and athletic activities. They are lined and windproof, so you can wear them when it is pretty cool to cold and your legs stay warm. I have used them for golf, outdoor exercise and just outdoor chores around the house. The extra cargo pockets on the legs are great to put your phone in and they snap so your items are secure, but still easily accessible. The regular pockets all have zippers, so again, everything you put in them stays secure no matter what you are doing.

This jacket is a light, packable, and comfortable. Perfect for warm weather adventures that just need a little extra layer to block the wind. It packs down into a small pouch that can be tossed in your pack or beach bag for that `` ace in the hole '' when needed. Unlike many competing brands, this jacket is made of a very soft material and does not have the crinkle feeling like you are putting on a trash bag. Also unique to this jacket compared to it's competitor's is that it has front handwarmer pockets as well as a chest pocket( most packable options do not). The pockets in my opinion bring it from just being a quick grab backup plan to an intentionally worn and functional jacket. The chest pocket is a great spot to quickly store your cell phone and the front hand pockets give you that sensation like you just put on your favorite hoodie sweatshirt. I have worn it while hiking mountains during the summer in Maine to hanging out on the beach in Costa Rica on a windy day.

This jacket is extremely comfortable. I 'm 5' 6 '' with broad shoulders and a more or less triangular shape( not a body builder by any stretch, though). The medium fits me perfectly with room to layer. I expect it's long enough for taller people, too. It breaths well, provides good wind protection, and a small amount of protection from precipitation. The first time I tried running in this jacket, the hood flopped annoyingly into my field of view. I have since discovered that you can just fold the brim back once or twice to tighten up the fit. This may look a little wonky, but it works beautifully, and it's the only option, since there's no drawstring adjustment on the hood. It's very nice to have hand- warmer pockets, which many wind shells omit.

I bought this to try out in spring/summer in Washington and it is fantastic. It's super light weight but does a great job at blocking the wind and light rain. The fit is trim but not overly loose( I got a large with a 41 '' chest, 6', 188 lbs). It has quickly become my go to windbreaker and has replaced my Arc'teryx Squamish hoody. Definitely worth the buy!

It actually feels cooler than the REI Sahara hoodie by 2- 3C, even though they 're both the same weight. I think this shirt has better thermal conductivity. It also absorbs sweat faster which helps increase evaporation. You can check by dunking both shirts into a tub of water. I felt much more comfortable with this in 30- 40C temperatures with high humidity. I can feel the difference under a helmet. It's more stretchy, and greater horizontally compared to vertically so you have to be careful not to stretch it too far in order to keep it's UPF protection so I wear a loose fitting size. The fabric is n't as durable as the REI Sahara, as it has more pilling after a few months of wearing 2- 3 days a week. The wrists seem to be more stained. It has more facial coverage along the neck and side cheeks near the ear because it has a smaller opening for the face. It's a round opening so it sits fairly symmetrical compared to the REI Sahara which has an overlapping stitch at the neck that causes the hood to twist to one side. It does n't have a drawstring but since the opening is smaller, the wind does n't really blow it off, unlike the REI Sahara which needs it's drawstring to be cinched to resist the wind. The only benefit of the REI Sahara is possibly greater sun protection from the side rear angle due to how the hood drapes, but less protection from the side front angle; cheaper price; higher durability.

This is a nice hoodie. It's a little thicker and heavier than the Echo, but that's also the point. It feels sturdier too. Shades nicely and cools well- do n't feel hot. The fabric feel is great too.

I wear the echo line of active wear when I 'm working out of fishing. The level of cool I get from wearing the ActiveIce appearal is unlike anything I 've tried before. It keeps me cool and I 'm not sweating as much as I do with the echo fabric. It does come with the trade off of being a bit heavier than the echo and not as breathable feeling since it's a thicker fabric. I will choose to wear the echo fabric when it's a cooler day doing a lot of activity and the ActiveIce fabric when it's really sunny and warm.
