I am pale, pastey, and burn extremely easily. A sun hoodie is a must for my outdoor adventures to protect myself from turning lobster red. These are my absolute favorite. The hood is deep enough to throw up over a baseball cap and protect my face, it has thumbholes to protect my hands, and its cute. If I 'm going to stink after a 4 day backpacking trip and stuff my face like a trash panda, at least I can look semi decent.

I have never worn a more perfect piece of clothing. I never imagined wearing long sleeves in hot weather while hiking. Hypothyroidism causes me to sweat profusely and embarrassement. After researching sun hoodies, I found the Crater Lake hoody. It was on sale, I bought it, wore it while hiking, it changed my experience... so I ordered two more!! Backpacked in Kentucky recently and the hoodies were a win for me. The material is thin and light, breathable. Although it offers great airflow, it can feel a bit warm in very humid conditions—but it's still comfortable enough to wear without much discomfort. [ color is great, fit is great, and I love how they 've altered the thumb hole approach most sun hoodies have. On most hoodies, thumb holes are in the seam along the wrist, and that shortens the sleeve length, so the thumb hole strangles my thumb( I have long arms). This shirt has thumb loops along the end of the sleeve. So much more comfortable! I also like the overlapping lower sides of the hood; nice coverage without being too tight around the neck.
