The dedicated laptop section is an improvement. Evening out the bag by enabling the main body lid to hold more is a plus. I prefer the extended yoke in the shoulder straps, being fairly thick in the chest from a life of PT. The enlarged bottle sleeve is appreciated, however my OCD needs one on the opposite side to balance it out/look uniform.

I did a lotttt of research before buying this. It's my first suitcase style pack, meaning it zips open wide. I travel a lot, carry a lot of camera gear, and always my laptop and a bunch of electronics, and it all has to fit as a personal item under my seat. I had read this would only fit a 15 '' laptop, but it accommodates my 16 '' MBP with no problem. I had read suitcase style backpacks are boring when you need to quickly stuff something inside or take something out, but if you arrange the zipper correctly, you can also do that here. Now I have the perfect pack which fits everything I need, but I do n't have to dig to the bottom blindly to grab something, or take everything out to reach the bottom items. And the color makes me feel sharp.

Loving the separated visible net clamshell for packing so wo n't have to dig through packing cubes to locate what is needed. Picked the bronze color as it's unusual and unique and easy to spot. I have, and love, the Latitude tote but it is starting to wear and I wanted a replacement. I was bummed when I realized the Latitude is no longer sold, so I went with the Everywhere tote because its a similar size. This is a great bag! Because its canvas rather than leather it looks a bit more like luggage than an oversized purse but the pockets and compartments make it way better for day trips etc. It's also nice that it zips across the top to close completely. In an attempt to try one- bag traveling, I went on a search for a versatile pack that can be carried on a flight and is easy to walk around with for a while in a city. I ’ m a recovering over- packer. What I ’ ve found is that this pack fits everything you need as long as you can do laundry. I can very comfortably fit about 7 outfits( mostly packable clothing), undergarments for 7 days, 2 pairs of pajamas, sandals, and a pair of tennis shoes. Not to mention, all of my necessary toiletries fit, I can throw my laptop in the dedicated sleeve, and have my reusable water bottle in the side pocket. And that ’s just the main pack. What really sold me on this pack is the detachable sling bag. When flying, I put the main bag overhead and have the sling bag under the seat in front of me. This allows me to have all my necessities( headphones, chargers, etc) easily accessible without compromising my leg room like a regular sized backpack might.

[ I 've now taken this backpack on two trips, and really love it! The padded, cellular back and shoulder straps are really comfortable even when the pack is loaded. The front pocket only goes halfway down the bag, which took some getting used to. You ca n't put too much weight in it or the bag is very top- heavy. But I just made sure I put only light items in there and everything else in the main compartment. The side pockets are really useful for holding a water bottle and sunglasses case!
