I bought the grande online from Dicks sporting goods, picked up at the South Portland store, same day. Set up was simple, stretched it out in an X pattern, flipped the cord under the sand bags and filled with sand. Poked the poles under the front corners, adjusted the bags a little bit by stretching out, then dug a small pit and buried them. I 've been doing this for three days in the coastal winds and it's been getting more efficient each time. Zero issues, stays put for hours with shifting winds when set up properly. Take down is just as simple. Storage bag is compact. 5+ stars, I 'd buy it again without a doubt and have not received anything for this review.

The next day was not as windy and tent stayed up wonderfully. I am considering getting the extra two poles, however they are not necessary for the tent to work well. The fabric is strong and the sand fell off easily for packing. We had five people under the tent so I would not reccommend any smaller of a tent for this many individuals. My dermatologist recommended Sunday Afternoons and I ’ m really glad she did. For health reasons, more than ever, I need to really hide from sun exposure but I am not one to just stay inside. I ’ m usually an Akubra girl, but the Adventure Hat has better coverage and the ventilation makes it so much more comfortable in these increasingly hot summer days. It ’s sturdy, comfortable and adjustable. The chin strap is effective and keeps the hat on even in a strong gust. It ’s attractive too; I ’ ve had many compliments on it and it even inspired my cousin to buy a couple Sunday Afternoon hats for herself. It is unquestionably an all- around great hat.

Always Wears a Hat
I purchased the grey Latitude hat in March 2019. It has traveled in my suitcase to multiple places over the years, and washing machine cycles, and it still has its shape. Since I started having children in 2019 it gets worn when I am outside no matter what. Most sun hats I have purchased fade from the constant sun exposure, but not the grey one. The brim has lost a lot of its firmness over the years, but it still retains its shape and does not sag or has gotten wrinkly. Recently I purchased the BlueStone color of this hat and it ’s beautiful. My grey one is my main garden hat now the blue one has replaced my daily use.

I bought a latitude hat for the LA summer because my bucket hat was n't giving me enough coverage. I love the Latitude hat. The width of the brim is great. No sun hits my face or neck even in midday when the sun is strongest. The cord allows me to easily dangle the hat around my neck when I enter a shady street. And the hat is very breathable when on. I could n't be happier with it. I bought a L and XL to compare sizes and definitely needed an XL( my head is on the bigger end).

Great wide brimmed hat. The straw will let air move thru the crown. Wear it every day in the summer for my walks. It's not adjustable, so you need to measure your head.

Large, and does not pinch my head. Lightweight and wide brim are great when I am working in the garden and on my daily walks, but our windy conditions eventually wore on the straw at the holes and ripped the straw, so I willingly bought another hat after a few years, since other hats pinch my head.

As a paddler and former kayak guide, I have a lot of paddle hats. Several models like this have a brim that goes down too far and makes it hard to see. This one is perfect. The brim is the perfect angle and it fits well. It has a little stretch and covers my entire face and neck without looking too silly. Huge fan. Bringing it to the BWCA this summer and I wear it daily walking the dog, gardening, and paddleboarding.:)

Bought this hat about 15 years ago. Fishing from the High Sierras up to 10, 000 feet elevation to out in the deep sea and even river rafting, it is amazing! The sun protection is outstanding, the comfort is unmatched and the chin strap has saved it multiple times. This has been my go- to hat for years. I 've worn it so much that the color has faded. I really like how the skirt can be unbuttoned from the brim and let hang- it provides an additional ventilation option. I also like the draw cord- again it allows ventilation options. I 've also found that the draw cord makes the hat easy to hang from my shoulder strap water bottle if I need to remove the hat while under trees for additional ventilation. I wish it was still available in yellow.

I love to wear this hat around town or when we ’ re out on sunny days. It ’s very comfortable, and the brim holds its shape well. I don ’ t use it when I ’ m out gardening or mowing the lawn because I prefer my other Sunday afternoon sun hat that I can throw in the washing machine if it get dirty. That ’s not to say that I couldn ’ t use this for light yardwork. It would be great with the sun protection, I just prefer to not get mine dirty. My original Sunday afternoon son had served me well for 20+ years.
