I am normally a size 2x tall. When I got the 2x tall they felt huge and baggy, from width of the waist to the width of the legs. I was hesitant to order an XL tall but when I got it I was happy and pleased to find that it fit just right. I have n't had these long enough to comment on durability. I can say these are noticeably heavier/warmer than the Rival and Rival Twist fleece joggers that I have. I am impressed with my Carhartt Poly- wool bottom. I received the thermal as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test, but I will be ordering two more complete sets. I am truly amazed at how well this bottom works to keep me warm. One must understand, I am constantly cold, so to me, this is amazing. I am 5ft 3in, and weigh 115lbs, and the small works well for me. I have laundered it, with no ill effects. It has retained it's shape and fit very well. The bottom also fits perfectly under skinny jeans, without bunching or showing. I live in Iowa, and it gets cold here. While wearing this pair of thermal bottoms, I stayed warm. It really goes long way in cutting the harsh winds we get out here on the prairie. I can honestly recommend this thermal bottom to anyone who gets cold in the winter.

I ask for duofold wool and cotton combos, but they are impossible top find anymore. Ny wife gave me two pairs of the Platinum II Pants from ColdPruf for Christmas. They have the same insulation value as the duofold but are less bulky, and much more comfortable due to the merino wool. I like these better than my underarmor, too, easier on and off. Jeans were something that people wore in the 1950s because they were acceptable then. I 'm breaking the trend with these and wearing them out wherever I 'd wear jeans. The twill weave separates them from sweatpants. These work better in the winter for me than jeans.
