I am normally a size 2x tall. When I got the 2x tall they felt huge and baggy, from width of the waist to the width of the legs. I was hesitant to order an XL tall but when I got it I was happy and pleased to find that it fit just right. They do seem to stretch quite a bit. When it comes to washing I let them hang dry to avoid shrinkage and lent. I am impressed with my Carhartt Poly- wool bottom. I received the thermal as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test, but I will be ordering two more complete sets. I am truly amazed at how well this bottom works to keep me warm. One must understand, I am constantly cold, so to me, this is amazing. I am 5ft 3in, and weigh 115lbs, and the small works well for me. I have laundered it, with no ill effects. It has retained it's shape and fit very well. The bottom also fits perfectly under skinny jeans, without bunching or showing. I live in Iowa, and it gets cold here. While wearing this pair of thermal bottoms, I stayed warm. It really goes long way in cutting the harsh winds we get out here on the prairie. I ask for duofold wool and cotton combos, but they are impossible top find anymore. Ny wife gave me two pairs of the Platinum II Pants from ColdPruf for Christmas. If you ’ re getting the brown color, be aware it ’s more mauve than brown. Other colors( my family bought every color) are true to the photos.

I was initially kind of worried about the fit because I ’ m losing weight and going down a size in my clothing…I thought these may be too small upon first glance. And even in the initial wear they fit jam up but the fabric relaxed and settled into an extremely comfortable fit! The material is great quality…it has weight to it without feeling heavy and weighed down. I also love the overall design. They are high waisted with a thinker drawstring waist band.. perfect for pear shapes like myself. There ’s also a tapered leg with a thicker band at the ankles to give a jogger vibe to the pant. I would absolutely recommend these…the perfect pant that can be styled multiple ways!
