I am 5 ’ 6 ” and 170 so I usually go for size large. I did get large and it feels true to size—definitely not a baggy look but comfortably snug. The material is really soft and comfy and feels like great quality—I ’ m thinking it will last a long time without tearing or piling. The material is thin but actually is very warm so I wouldn ’ t wear it to workout unless it was pretty chilly. I normally just wear this as a casual/running errands outfit. Small, green womens From the pictures I was expecting some thin material and it to be lightly warm with thin- to- no lining but it is thick and warm and sleek. It's had soft fleece lining and a wool outer. Compared to other profucts it is very form fitting and flattering and looks great. I love it. It fits my body perfectly. I 'm 5' 8 '', 127lb. I have 17 '' shoulders, a 34 '' bust and a 27 '' waist and 32 '' hips. My dress size is a 4/6 and my pants size is a 4/6 but my shirt size is a medium because of the shoulder width. It is tight so I do n't think I could go down to an Xsmall. But fjallraven runs big. Normally I wear a medium in jackets because u have broad shoulders but this fits! I 'd say go down in size from other brands.

The fleece lining adds a lot of warmth layered under a shell or worn alone. The durable G100 added to the shoulders makes it water resistant, and keeps the jacket protected from friction from wearing a backpack. I live at elevation, where weather conditions can change fast( and wind is common). I 've worn this jacket in a variety of conditions so far: rain/snow mix at 40 degrees,< sub- freezing temps and sunny, dark and 32 degrees. It's kept me warm without overheating, blocked the wind, and kept me dry during light/moderate precipitation. It's lightweight and packs up small, and is my new fav running item! It feels like it might run just a tad bit small in my opinion, so if you want a thicker layer under it, I might suggest sizing up.

I winter hike a lot in the white mountains of New Hampshire and I love this layer! It's perfect for ascents over my 300 weight wool shirt. I rarely sweat in it or need more than those 2 layers. If I do sweat it evaporates very quickly. It's very thin and lightweight however I barely need an additional layer in higher elevations. I have worn this in temps ranging from 10- 30 degrees F. It's amazing. I love the windbreaker aspect of it bc it either surprise snows or you brush up against trees while hiking and do n't get wet. You stay so warm with the fleece lining. Still ca n't believe how thin it is.
