I have been looking for the perfect visor for several years after my favorite was discontinued. Most of the ones with wider brims were just too big and made me look silly. I have a very small face. And you take off in the wind like the flying nun. These visors are the perfect length for keeping the sun out of your eyes. I love the lightness; however, I ’ m not sure how they will fair in strong winds. I also wish they had more colors to choose from. I like the light gray, however, it didn ’ t allow me to tighten it enough; The light purple was easier to tighten to my needs. You can `` boonie '' it and scrunch the brim to get that sun that's angled to the side or shove it in your pack/pocket. Take it out and a hard shake will get the brim back. I run this through rocks, brush, sappy pines. No issues or snags. Breathes well and has some water resistance. One of the best things OR has made.

It looks good, it does everything you need and nothing you do n't need. I love the way this hat looks and fits. I have a pretty small head and it has quick easy adjustments. The adjustments are so good that I ride to the beach and back home on my motorcycle without this thing flying off. When I get to the beach and ready to fish I can loosen it in less than a second. It's sun gear so the most important thing is the protection. it's still spring here in Florida but it's already up to 80s on a regular and the day in the photograph was exactly that. The hat works great for blocking the sun and it also does a pretty good job keeping you cool. The brim is stiff enough to stay out flat for coverage but soft enough to still look good. Used it all last summer and heading into this year i 'm relying on it again. Caught my first pompano of the year and the photograph came out great so I figured i 'd actually write a review.

I have three of these hats. I keep one in the car and one in my backpack so I always have it on hand. I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. It stays on well in windy conditions if you snap it under your chin. I wish it came in more colors. Fun ones. I would love orange or teal or fuchsia.

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. Very versatile and can be used in any number of scenarios. Thanks for a great product!

So, this is my signature hat. I am a female fishing guide and it took me a long time to find the right hat. The Vivian is THAT hat. I am hard on my hats, so I 'll say I go through one of these hats every 2- 3 years. Things I love about this hat: The floppiness protects my face and neck from the sun, it's stylish and feminine, I can tighten the stampede strap when the wind kicks up. Things I do n't love: The stampede strap is leather and wears out over time. The bead wears the strap out and Sunday Afternoon have replaced the hat for me because of this, but with my last one, I ended up repairing it myself with a much stronger material. Also, when the hat gets a little wet, it smells like a horse.

I have some very pretty sun hats that I wear all summer. But I can ’ t wear them on bright, blustery spring days because they don ’ t have chin straps. I have the Adventure hat that is great for gardening but not what I wanted for walking the dog in the neighborhood. The Clear Creek Boonie meets my needs. Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. I searched for the perfect everyday hat for what felt like for- ev- er. When I came across the Luna hat in Brindle in a store some years ago, I knew I had finally found my unicorn. I 've had this hat for about 5 years now, and it's my go- to for when my face will need sun protection but I still want to look cute... farmers market, outdoor events, travelling, etc. The medium brown color goes with everything, the leather band gives it a polished look, the shape has just enough structure but still feels casual. I live in a hot climate( Central Texas) so a cool and breathable hat is essential. With our weather, this hat gets 3 seasons of use. Do n't be deterred by the `` paper '' content... the braid feels very soft and it's also durable. In all these years, I 've only gotten one small pull in the weave but the pattern is so forgiving it blends in. I get so many compliments on this hat... it's my favorite.

Can ’ t wait to wear this on vacation. When they say large, they meant large- as is slightly too large for my normally large head. It ’s alright though, as soon as my hair meets salt water it ’s bound to fill the space 😂 can ’ t wait to try it out on vaca- til then it ’s just chilling while I wear my other hat
