Most ponytail hats( with the criss cross back or tiny opening in the rear) don ’ t accommodate a bun without having to finish styling after you put the hat on. It ’s really annoying for us girls who wear our hair in buns on a daily basis or women with 3a- 4c hair. I have 1a hair down past my knees so I wear my hair in a bun everyday. I either wear a visor but on really sunny days or rainy days I want to wear a ball cap. This is my go- to. I have two black and one white. I hope they make more colors and style options in the future. I love the elastic because it doesn ’ t pull on hair like Velcro does. Other ponytail hats I must undo the Velcro to get it on and off my head and hair. I do wish the elastic was a little tighter for us girls with smaller heads. Even better have a hide away adjuster in the sweat band so we can adjust and tighten as the elastic loosens. Please make more colors and trefoil styles!

I bought the Oat Sunset Hat first, to wear while gardening and walking the dog. I live in NE FL and the sun can be brutal at times. Our duaghter and her husband took us on an* day Caribbean cruise right after Thanksgiving and I bought a 2nd Sunset hat, this time in Cinnamon, so she would have a good sun hat too. She preferred the lighter colored hat so I let her keep that one and I kept the cinnamon one. These hats can be shaped how ever you prefer them, but I like the sides rolled up like a `` western hat '' so I have good peripheral vision, especially when walking our pup. They traveled well strapped to a back pack and if they got a bit misshapen during transport they were easy to return to however you might prefer them. I searched for the perfect everyday hat for what felt like for- ev- er. When I came across the Luna hat in Brindle in a store some years ago, I knew I had finally found my unicorn. Bought this one to replace old one that was blue and has traveled around the world with me. Love how light and compact it can be when not wearing it and how you can expand it for wearing to keep sun off your face and neck. Only reason I have to replace old one after 12+ years is because of the metal in the outer part finally snapped in few spots. So outer part does not hold shape as well especially in wind. Mind you I washed it with similar color clothes probably once or wove a year( which might not have been recommended) and would fold it over twice to fit in top of back back on travel days in airports and buses. I ’ m just happy I still had tag on old hat to find company to buy this new one. The old one I will still wear around house doing yard work. Needless to say after buying several different hats this if my favorite one for spring, summer, and fall. Thank you for this wonderful design that stands up to my abuse and keeps looking great.
