I love these even in spite of the train conductor jokes my coworkers make when I wear them( which is 2- 3 days a week). The fabric is a nice weight( durable yet light enough for working outside in 80- 90 degree heat) and soft. I do wish I had sized up from the `` true fit '' recommendation though. They fit comfortably now, but there's not much room for shrinkage, so I 'll have to be careful to wash cold and air- dry.( My last pair of the tan version shrunk lengthwise over time because I was too impatient to air- dry them.) For reference: my natural waist is 28- 29 inches, hips are 38- 39 inches. I 'm 5' 9, 140 lbs and I got the size small- tall. I think the medium would have fit better from crotch to waist.
