  • For Gloves: Breakdowns include seams and stitching separation and normal wear-and-tear
  • For Basketballs, Footballs, and Soccer Balls: Breakdowns are limited to seam and stitching separation due to normal use, and valve failures.
  • For Tents, Canopies, Backpacks, Chairs, Sleeping Bags: Breakdowns are limited to seams and stitching separation due to normal use, zipper or Velcro breakdown due to normal use, and poles breakdown due to normal use.
  • For Kayaks: Breakdowns are limited to the hull and deck only

Dick’s partners with Asurion, a global care company that provides protection plans for bikes, cardio equipment, portable equipment, eyewear, bats, general merchandise, outdoor accessories, and more in partnership with us and many other major retailers and tech carriers.

 

 

Unless otherwise noted for select products (see bike plans, eyewear plans or portable product plans), the No Sweat Protection Plan (NSPP) coverage period begins after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. If the manufacturer’s warranty is still active, we will refer you to the manufacturer.

 

 

The NSPP is an extended protection plan that you purchase when you buy an eligible product. Your receipt or order confirmation email will have a line item with the name of your plan or No Sweat Protection Plan listed.

 

 

No. You can register at the time you make a claim with a proper receipt. You can also pre-register any time after purchase. Most Athletes find it easy to save their receipt after purchase by texting an image of it to *20333.  

 

 

No. If your product has a covered breakdown and reimbursement is offered, Aurion will reimburse you for the original purchase price of the product before tax.

 

 

Asurion will reimburse you for the original purchase price (before tax) of your covered product with an eGift card so that you can choose your replacement product. It can be the same product or something completely different. eGift cards can be used in store or online.

 

 

No. The NSPP will take care of covered breakdowns but it does not cover lost or stolen products.

 

 

NSPP plans can be returned up to 30 days from time of purchase through Dick’s. For mail-in returns, if your item is received within 30 days of purchase, we will automatically return the NSPP associated with your item. If it's beyond the 30 days, please contact Asurion to return your NSPP.

 

 

Asurion may need you to send your product in for repair, or before issuing a replacement or reimbursement. We will always pay for shipping. Other times we may require photos of the product showing the breakdown. We’ll let you know when you file a claim.

 

 

In some cases, Asurion will reimburse you for your covered product with an eGift card so that you can choose your replacement product.

 

 

Thank you for protecting your gift! Have the recipient keep a copy of the receipt when pre-registering or making a claim. If you have pre-registered the product, you can contact Asurion at 1-866-257-6545 to have it transferred into the name of the recipient.
