[ So, while I was sent the wrong one( as seen in photo and I didn ’ t get the backpack one which would ’ ve been awesome), the cooler is still really great. We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. It also floats, so when floating down the river, you can literally just strap this to the raft and it ’ ll float, so much easier than having to rent another raft and hope your cooler doesn ’ t fall off it. I will use this for work meals, fishing, picnic for 1- 2, taking to the ballpark, long drives, etc. It ’s a little bigger inside than the flip 8 and the hard cooler option allows use as a table or seat. Tie down slots are integrated into the comfortable new small haul handle and includes a rubber grip for wet hands and good grip when full, though I like the optional double duty strap you can buy for hands free use. Fits more than it looks like it should. Great compliment to my roadie 15 and tundra 35. Size may not be for everyone but then, neither is the tundra 160. These hard coolers tend to be heavy- this is the perfect size for enough to hold everything you need, without needing 2 people to lift it. The hard handle which other brands have gone away from is great for putting it down and not having to bend down to pick it up- and this one fixes one of the major flaws where it will snap into place, but very easily moves to a stowed position. Some other brands the upright position is far too rigid and takes an extra hand on the cooler to stow it. Similarly, on other brands the all- rubber latches are a huge pain to open the cooler- this has rubber straps with a cam- action handle, so you get the benefit of the rubber always pulling it close, but it can easily be opened with 1 hand. I put about 5lbs of ice into a warm cooler in a warm house and it took 72 hours to melt- I believe 10+lbs would last the claimed 5 days. Built in bottle opener that is also often missing on these hard coolers. Screams America in the red color, and made in USA.

After the game, we left it sit in the warm garage in Florida for 4 days, and everything was still good and cold. We cleaned it out and repacked for the beach the next weekend, and it worked perfect. I was really happy when I got the message that I would get to review one of these DSG Victory coolers. I was even happier after I saw how good it was. It's the coldest part of the year in the High Forest of Tennessee but before I received this cooler I was still having to buy ice every 3rd day. This cooler has kept my ice for 5 days and counting. I do n't keep a very heavily stocked cooler but I do require ice for water throughout the day. Buying ice just to have ice water is one of the indulgences I allow myself while I 'm in my wander years. This cooler has relieved the last of my stress around always having ice and best of all my cost is down from 30/mth to 18/mth, not to mention the gas saved from store runs. This cooler looks good, right out of the box. I got the grey and I 'm very happy with it. It has an easy to carry handle that frees up one hand so you can carry your fishing rod too. The handle is metal and very sturdy and well machined. The latches are heavy duty materials that securely close and seal the cooler, allowing for no temperature leaks. The box itself is deep and is made of something sturdy enough that you do n't have to worry about that big trout breaking it when you toss it in there. The exterior is molded in ways that support its role as a top notch cooler. I 'm about 225 and I feel solid when I sit on it. There's a built- in bottle opener, which is courtesy of the real metal used for the lock. All these good things and it's made in the USA. I took the cooler to work a couple times this week. Needing lots of hydration while golfing in FL and KY; got this cooler and it hasn’t let me down yet. 6 rounds of golf and my drinks( water bottles- some with iced tea) have been kept cold over the typical 3. 5 to 4 hr rounds. The insulation on this cooler bag is first class! I usually put a plastic ice block in the cooler and it works great. The zipper is a little bit hard to open at first but once I put on the lubricant that came with it it ’s a lot easier to open. I like that the lid is magnetic incase you accidentally leave the lid unzipped at least the magnet will keep the cooler closed. I put ice in this cooler at 8am and a whole 24 hours later the ice was a little melted but there was still plenty of ice left! [ This cooler has it all! I can ’ t find one flaw with the design. I did think I was getting a backpack cooler based on the photo, but this is a shoulder strap cooler which works great! Pros:- waterproof zipper: I put water in this thing, shook it all around, laid it on its side and upside down and no leaks!- magnetic top: when you are using the cooler at your destination, no need to sip it back up every time. The 2 side pockets give you even more packing space but the 30 cans actually fit inside the main body of the pack. The pack is inner lined with insulation and is padded. The arm handles are padded and there is a front clip that keeps the handles on your shoulders. The grey color of this pack is distressed and very soft. I love it! I am going to use it off label and put my laptop( sans the cans) in it for transport because it is that padded and awesome.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!
