Needing lots of hydration while golfing in FL and KY; got this cooler and it hasn’t let me down yet. 6 rounds of golf and my drinks( water bottles- some with iced tea) have been kept cold over the typical 3. 5 to 4 hr rounds. The insulation on this cooler bag is first class! I usually put a plastic ice block in the cooler and it works great. Purchased for a 3 night, 2 day music and camping festival to keep my food cold and safe. while I did add more ice, the ice on the bottom remained the entire time, from Thursday afternoon to Sunday when I got home. I am happy with the ice retention. It is great! I also purchased this for the size( and price) and while the cooler is large enough for one person's food, it is very heavy. I did n't use the shoulder strap but rather put it in a wagon and wheeled it to my campsite. I wish this smaller version came with wheels. The weight is why I did n't give it 5 stars. I realize it is heavy to keep the ice cold but I overestimated my ability to carry it and will likely never use the shoulder strap.

The ice stays cold, I did the first test by tossing a sacrificial bag of ice in the cooler to pre- chill it but that ice only melted about 3/4 cup so had a spare bag of ice just lying around. The tips are perfect as well for loading. I only wish the cooler dividers had a few more options, namely a 3/4 divider widthwise instead of only splitting it 50/50.

[ I put Oniva's OTG Traverse Cooler backpack to the ultimate test by using it while hiking in Zion National Park. I carried 6 water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, plus an ice pack. The backpack has a front pocket, pouch on the side, a flat pocket in the cover, bungy cord on the other side, zipper cover, and a top cover. It is 10- 1/2 inches wide and 13 '' deep and 6 '' from front to back. The outside material seems very durable with the side is the cooling material. I still would put an ice pack in the bottom. Nice to take for a day trip.

[ I put Oniva's OTG Traverse Cooler backpack to the ultimate test by using it while hiking in Zion National Park. I carried 6 water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, plus an ice pack. It was heavy but it got the job done. On the side there is a bungie cord that is suppose to hold stuff but I found that whenever I sat down the backpack it would put out. I also took the backpack to the beach and carried 8 cans and a couple water bottles, all the beverages stayed cool.

The fact that it ’s a backpack makes it easier and more comfortable to carry than lugging a traditional cooler – and two slim ice packs that I usually put in the kids ’ lunchboxes worked well to keep everything cold all day. I also like that there ’s a dry pocket in the front, which works well for carrying phone, keys and wallet, so you don ’ t have to carry a separate bag. It also looks like a regular backpack – you ’ d never guess it was a cooler just by looking at it. I would not suggest using ice like a a regular cooler; but Gel packs have worked very well for us.
