Needing lots of hydration while golfing in FL and KY; got this cooler and it hasn’t let me down yet. 6 rounds of golf and my drinks( water bottles- some with iced tea) have been kept cold over the typical 3. 5 to 4 hr rounds. The insulation on this cooler bag is first class! I usually put a plastic ice block in the cooler and it works great. My wife and I live in a 110- year- old house with a big front porch. One of the benefits of said porch is entertaining. We keep two YETI Tundra 65 coolers on the porch full of refreshments, both alcoholic and non- alcoholic. We regularly host `` Pop Up Porch Parties '', or as I like to call them, `` PUPPS ''. Before we bought the YETIs we went through a ridiculous amount of ice. Now ice lasts three of four days, even during the hottest days of the years. We also have been involved in animal rescue for twenty years. In June I completed my third long mission of the year transporting dogs to new homes. Since I 'm transporting dogs across many states, I use bottled water so that their stomachs wo n't be upset by multiple sources. This involves loading a case of water into a Yeti Tundra 65 and heading on my way. At the end of a six- day trip there was still ice, and the water was still cold. YETI is the best. Both of my YETI TUNDRA 65 coolers were bought at my local Dick's Sporting Goods store. They always have a great selection.

The ice stays cold, I did the first test by tossing a sacrificial bag of ice in the cooler to pre- chill it but that ice only melted about 3/4 cup so had a spare bag of ice just lying around. First and foremost, this was the cheapest cooler I could find on any site with the reviews it had so I took a chance. I go car camping a lot but I have always used other peoples coolers and never owned one myself. This one is a lot lighter than I thought which was equally good and bad, I was worried about its ability but let me tell you how unfounded my worries were. I put a large and small bag of ice( about 24 lbs) in the cooler at 2pm on Saturday and camped in 88 degree weather. I wanted to test it, and for two days it sat outside directly in the sun. It is now Monday night and there is still ice. Is it mostly melted? Yes. Is it still pretty cold? Also yes. It's an extremely well made cooler with a zipper compartment on top to hold smaller items and a main zipper compartment to hold up to 16 cans of your favorite beverage.
