I would not suggest using ice like a a regular cooler; but Gel packs have worked very well for us. This cooler really has everything I was looking for in a performance cooler. The insulation is great. It has secure closing tabs. It has a drain plug. It has a bottle opener. It is a little on the heavy side but all of the good in this cooler can not happen without some weight. Having said that, this cooler is much lighter than many of its competitors. Some folks dig on coolers not keeping cool as long as advertised. It is important to realize that if you put ice/drinks/food in a warm cooler you are bound to have some initial melting just to bring the temperature down. Add some ice prior to using the cooler and it will last really well. No question it's a great deal for what you get.

I like the Trailmate 25. It is big but not bulky or too heavy like some coolers in this size range. It has a metal handle with a nice rubberized grip on it. While similar to other models Igloo offers, this cooler has a seal in the lid, improved rubber latches, drain plug, and heavy duty hinges on the back. It is made in USA which I appreciate and is very solid. Not sure how many total days it can retain ice, since I only use for weekend use. I hope this lasts me many years. Overall I would recommend this cooler. Minor issues that could be improved: 1. I would like the handle to `` lock '' in the upright position to reduce the cooler from swaying side to side while carrying it. 2. The notches where the rubber latches secure are hollow underneath. This allows the latches to scrape/scuff the plastic edges which could possibly wear down overtime. 3. The drain plug could be a tad lower in the cooler so it does n't have to be tipped to drain the last remaining water. 4. I added no- skid furniture pads to the bottom to reduce scratches and scuffs and increase grip for transportation.

The 2 side pockets give you even more packing space but the 30 cans actually fit inside the main body of the pack. The pack is inner lined with insulation and is padded. The arm handles are padded and there is a front clip that keeps the handles on your shoulders. The grey color of this pack is distressed and very soft. I love it! I am going to use it off label and put my laptop( sans the cans) in it for transport because it is that padded and awesome.

Some people say these coolers are heavy when they have Ice. I did not find that to be the case. The ice retention is Phenomenal and it does exactly what I need it to do I did n't have to swap out ice once in 3 days and there was ALOT of it left. I also got the Divider for when we go camping it fits great! Dry basket is also nice! But I will be using this for processing mostly.

I bought this last month for Travel Baseball. It is a 100% upgrade from the large Yeti cooler we used last year. It is much easier for my wife to handle from car to field on her own. With the added outside storage and bins for the inside we have much more flexibility. It ’s pull out handle and sturdy wheels makes it so we can stack chairs, gear and our 5yr old in one trip. Very Nice Cooler. Igloo stepped their game up! I did a 24 hour on this cooler as soon as I got it to decide if I would keep it. I put an 7lb bag of ice in it with some bottles of water. I left the cooler outside on the deck in 90 degree weather overnight. I checked at the 12 hour mark and 24 hour mark. At 24 hours the water to ice ratio from the ice was about 80% water 20% ice. The ice water was ice cold and the bottles we ice cold. This is exactly what I wanted the pack for, as most people buying it would use it for 24 hours or less. Ideally, I will be using it for maybe 12 hours max at a time so this pack is perfect for me.

I recieved the 36 can cooler and i was able to fit 24 cans plus ice. We have had a mild winter where i live so i decided to fill this cooler and test it by setting it outside for 5 days. I checked on it everyday. Day 2 still had ALL ice. Day 3 it started to melt. By day 5 all ice was melted but drinks were still ICE COLD. The magnetic lid creates an insulation like no other. I believe that is the feature that kept my drinks cold for so long. The zippers well, they are tough to open however it really seals out the warm air so i can live with it. The thing that makes the zipper so difficult is that it is outlined in silicone/rubber for a tight seal so it does serve a purpose. The front pouch is perfect size for plates& cutlery. I also love the thoughtfulness of adding a bottle opener. Overall, i think this is a great cooler and i cant wait to see how it works while outside, camping in the hot summers. I would recommend.

We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. It also floats, so when floating down the river, you can literally just strap this to the raft and it ’ ll float, so much easier than having to rent another raft and hope your cooler doesn ’ t fall off it. [ I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product, the outside is a semi hard case it has one pocket in front and on the side there is a bottle opener attached, it comes with a long strap for carrying. The zipper is a little bit hard to open at first but once I put on the lubricant that came with it it ’s a lot easier to open. I like that the lid is magnetic incase you accidentally leave the lid unzipped at least the magnet will keep the cooler closed. I put ice in this cooler at 8am and a whole 24 hours later the ice was a little melted but there was still plenty of ice left! I will definitely be using this cooler all summer long it ’s great and the price point is even better!

[ This cooler has it all! I can ’ t find one flaw with the design. I did think I was getting a backpack cooler based on the photo, but this is a shoulder strap cooler which works great! Pros:- waterproof zipper: I put water in this thing, shook it all around, laid it on its side and upside down and no leaks!- magnetic top: when you are using the cooler at your destination, no need to sip it back up every time. I really like this 65qt cooler, the wheels make it so much easier to move it around and the colors choices are fun. I got the blue cooler and love the color! It seems like it is very durable, very insulated with thick walls and lid. There is a rubber seal on the lid that seals the cooler more efficiently. I love how the cooler has a locking option, to keep the kids out of it or when traveling to secure it. We had a fire over the weekend, filled the cooler with ice and drinks. It was also used as a chair by a fire. It did not get hot and the drinks were still cold. We left the remaining drinks and ice to see how long it would take to melt. I was surprised that they were still cold and had some of the ice melted days, several later, it has been 5 days and we still have ice. I placed my hand in the cooler, and you could feel that it was still very very cold. I am very impressed with how long it stays cold in the cooler. When you shut the lid, there is room so you are not squishing drinks or food with the lid down. My dog loves it too, she loves ice!! I am very excited to use it on camp trips this summer. It will also be used as a table and chair. It is the right height to play games on or use as a table while cooking outdoors. I love to Dutch oven and this height is perfect! I love how the cooler has wheels, the built- in bottle opener, and high quality insulation of the cooler. Love that it is made in the USA!! The only issue with the cooler is, lacking an additional handle to pick up the cooler, the lifting handle above the wheels could have been designed for easier gripping.
