It's definitely bigger than you think because of the heavy duty insulation. Some might find the metal handle protrudes too much for them when collapsed but it does n't bother my family. I like that the rubber securing latches are actually replaceable, and you can get them from Yeti and find lots of videos to remove/replace in case you ever need to. And the drain plug is a godsend- why so many companies cheap out there is beyond me? We have n't purchased any of the accessories yet but plan to at some point. Overall it's definitely a little expensive but having been through so many cheaper coolers that eventually failed sooner than they should have, we 're counting on the YETI quality to go the distance.

[ I put Oniva's OTG Traverse Cooler backpack to the ultimate test by using it while hiking in Zion National Park. I carried 6 water bottles, snacks, sunscreen, plus an ice pack. It was heavy but it got the job done. On the side there is a bungie cord that is suppose to hold stuff but I found that whenever I sat down the backpack it would put out. I also took the backpack to the beach and carried 8 cans and a couple water bottles, all the beverages stayed cool.

[ I bought this cooler a bit more than a month ago and have only had a few opportunities to play with it so far. Not once have I been disappointed! The ice stays cold, I did the first test by tossing a sacrificial bag of ice in the cooler to pre- chill it but that ice only melted about 3/4 cup so had a spare bag of ice just lying around. The tips are perfect as well for loading. I only wish the cooler dividers had a few more options, namely a 3/4 divider widthwise instead of only splitting it 50/50.

This cooler really has everything I was looking for in a performance cooler. The insulation is great. It has secure closing tabs. It has a drain plug. It has a bottle opener. It is a little on the heavy side but all of the good in this cooler can not happen without some weight. Having said that, this cooler is much lighter than many of its competitors. Some folks dig on coolers not keeping cool as long as advertised. It is important to realize that if you put ice/drinks/food in a warm cooler you are bound to have some initial melting just to bring the temperature down. Add some ice prior to using the cooler and it will last really well. No question it's a great deal for what you get.

I like the Trailmate 25. It is big but not bulky or too heavy like some coolers in this size range. It has a metal handle with a nice rubberized grip on it. While similar to other models Igloo offers, this cooler has a seal in the lid, improved rubber latches, drain plug, and heavy duty hinges on the back. It is made in USA which I appreciate and is very solid. Not sure how many total days it can retain ice, since I only use for weekend use. I hope this lasts me many years. Overall I would recommend this cooler. Minor issues that could be improved: 1. I would like the handle to `` lock '' in the upright position to reduce the cooler from swaying side to side while carrying it. 2. The notches where the rubber latches secure are hollow underneath. This allows the latches to scrape/scuff the plastic edges which could possibly wear down overtime. 3. The drain plug could be a tad lower in the cooler so it does n't have to be tipped to drain the last remaining water. 4. I added no- skid furniture pads to the bottom to reduce scratches and scuffs and increase grip for transportation.

[ was hesitant at first about this and if I 'd actually use it, but once I got it and found a space for it in my car's trunk I instantly knew it was gon na be the perfect piece for my day to day use. im a film photographer in LA so I spend a lot of time in my car sitting in traffic and have to carry a lot of gear in my car that should n't be in a lot of heat. I will use this for work meals, fishing, picnic for 1- 2, taking to the ballpark, long drives, etc. It ’s a little bigger inside than the flip 8 and the hard cooler option allows use as a table or seat. Tie down slots are integrated into the comfortable new small haul handle and includes a rubber grip for wet hands and good grip when full, though I like the optional double duty strap you can buy for hands free use. Fits more than it looks like it should. Great compliment to my roadie 15 and tundra 35. Size may not be for everyone but then, neither is the tundra 160. Very Nice Cooler. Igloo stepped their game up! I did a 24 hour on this cooler as soon as I got it to decide if I would keep it. I put an 7lb bag of ice in it with some bottles of water. I left the cooler outside on the deck in 90 degree weather overnight. I checked at the 12 hour mark and 24 hour mark. At 24 hours the water to ice ratio from the ice was about 80% water 20% ice. The ice water was ice cold and the bottles we ice cold. This is exactly what I wanted the pack for, as most people buying it would use it for 24 hours or less. Ideally, I will be using it for maybe 12 hours max at a time so this pack is perfect for me.

I checked on it everyday. Day 2 still had ALL ice. Day 3 it started to melt. By day 5 all ice was melted but drinks were still ICE COLD. The magnetic lid creates an insulation like no other. I believe that is the feature that kept my drinks cold for so long. The zippers well, they are tough to open however it really seals out the warm air so i can live with it. The thing that makes the zipper so difficult is that it is outlined in silicone/rubber for a tight seal so it does serve a purpose. The front pouch is perfect size for plates& cutlery. I also love the thoughtfulness of adding a bottle opener. Overall, i think this is a great cooler and i cant wait to see how it works while outside, camping in the hot summers. I would recommend.

I bought this cooler in July for a 2 road trip. Some frozen and some fresh food. I also bought 3 reusable ice packs. I added one 7lb bag of ice and it lasted for the entire trip. I never had to add more ice, the frozen food stayed frozen and there was only about 1 cup of ice melt when I drained. Really a great cooler

[ I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product, the outside is a semi hard case it has one pocket in front and on the side there is a bottle opener attached, it comes with a long strap for carrying. The zipper is a little bit hard to open at first but once I put on the lubricant that came with it it ’s a lot easier to open. I like that the lid is magnetic incase you accidentally leave the lid unzipped at least the magnet will keep the cooler closed. I put ice in this cooler at 8am and a whole 24 hours later the ice was a little melted but there was still plenty of ice left! We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. It also floats, so when floating down the river, you can literally just strap this to the raft and it ’ ll float, so much easier than having to rent another raft and hope your cooler doesn ’ t fall off it. I really like this 65qt cooler, the wheels make it so much easier to move it around and the colors choices are fun. I got the blue cooler and love the color! It seems like it is very durable, very insulated with thick walls and lid. There is a rubber seal on the lid that seals the cooler more efficiently. I love how the cooler has a locking option, to keep the kids out of it or when traveling to secure it. We had a fire over the weekend, filled the cooler with ice and drinks. It was also used as a chair by a fire. It did not get hot and the drinks were still cold. We left the remaining drinks and ice to see how long it would take to melt. I was surprised that they were still cold and had some of the ice melted days, several later, it has been 5 days and we still have ice. I placed my hand in the cooler, and you could feel that it was still very very cold. I am very impressed with how long it stays cold in the cooler. When you shut the lid, there is room so you are not squishing drinks or food with the lid down. My dog loves it too, she loves ice!! I am very excited to use it on camp trips this summer. It will also be used as a table and chair. It is the right height to play games on or use as a table while cooking outdoors. I love to Dutch oven and this height is perfect!
