Purchased for a 3 night, 2 day music and camping festival to keep my food cold and safe. while I did add more ice, the ice on the bottom remained the entire time, from Thursday afternoon to Sunday when I got home. I am happy with the ice retention. It is great! I also purchased this for the size( and price) and while the cooler is large enough for one person's food, it is very heavy. I did n't use the shoulder strap but rather put it in a wagon and wheeled it to my campsite. I wish this smaller version came with wheels. The weight is why I did n't give it 5 stars. I realize it is heavy to keep the ice cold but I overestimated my ability to carry it and will likely never use the shoulder strap.

It's an extremely well made cooler with a zipper compartment on top to hold smaller items and a main zipper compartment to hold up to 16 cans of your favorite beverage. It's definitely bigger than you think because of the heavy duty insulation. Some might find the metal handle protrudes too much for them when collapsed but it does n't bother my family. I like that the rubber securing latches are actually replaceable, and you can get them from Yeti and find lots of videos to remove/replace in case you ever need to. And the drain plug is a godsend- why so many companies cheap out there is beyond me? We have n't purchased any of the accessories yet but plan to at some point. Overall it's definitely a little expensive but having been through so many cheaper coolers that eventually failed sooner than they should have, we 're counting on the YETI quality to go the distance.

We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. This cooler really has everything I was looking for in a performance cooler. The insulation is great. It has secure closing tabs. It has a drain plug. It has a bottle opener. It is a little on the heavy side but all of the good in this cooler can not happen without some weight. Having said that, this cooler is much lighter than many of its competitors. Some folks dig on coolers not keeping cool as long as advertised. It is important to realize that if you put ice/drinks/food in a warm cooler you are bound to have some initial melting just to bring the temperature down. Add some ice prior to using the cooler and it will last really well. No question it's a great deal for what you get.

I like the Trailmate 25. It is big but not bulky or too heavy like some coolers in this size range. It has a metal handle with a nice rubberized grip on it. While similar to other models Igloo offers, this cooler has a seal in the lid, improved rubber latches, drain plug, and heavy duty hinges on the back. It is made in USA which I appreciate and is very solid. Not sure how many total days it can retain ice, since I only use for weekend use. I hope this lasts me many years. Overall I would recommend this cooler. Minor issues that could be improved: 1. I would like the handle to `` lock '' in the upright position to reduce the cooler from swaying side to side while carrying it. 2. The notches where the rubber latches secure are hollow underneath. This allows the latches to scrape/scuff the plastic edges which could possibly wear down overtime. 3. The drain plug could be a tad lower in the cooler so it does n't have to be tipped to drain the last remaining water. 4. I added no- skid furniture pads to the bottom to reduce scratches and scuffs and increase grip for transportation.

I recieved the 36 can cooler and i was able to fit 24 cans plus ice. We have had a mild winter where i live so i decided to fill this cooler and test it by setting it outside for 5 days. I checked on it everyday. Day 2 still had ALL ice. Day 3 it started to melt. By day 5 all ice was melted but drinks were still ICE COLD. The magnetic lid creates an insulation like no other. I believe that is the feature that kept my drinks cold for so long. The zippers well, they are tough to open however it really seals out the warm air so i can live with it. The thing that makes the zipper so difficult is that it is outlined in silicone/rubber for a tight seal so it does serve a purpose. The front pouch is perfect size for plates& cutlery. I also love the thoughtfulness of adding a bottle opener. Overall, i think this is a great cooler and i cant wait to see how it works while outside, camping in the hot summers. I would recommend.

This is a great solo use cooler for me. It fits a need when it ’s just me( fitting a deli sandwich, sides, snacks, and a few drinks). I will use this for work meals, fishing, picnic for 1- 2, taking to the ballpark, long drives, etc. It ’s a little bigger inside than the flip 8 and the hard cooler option allows use as a table or seat. [ I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this product, the outside is a semi hard case it has one pocket in front and on the side there is a bottle opener attached, it comes with a long strap for carrying. The zipper is a little bit hard to open at first but once I put on the lubricant that came with it it ’s a lot easier to open. I like that the lid is magnetic incase you accidentally leave the lid unzipped at least the magnet will keep the cooler closed. I put ice in this cooler at 8am and a whole 24 hours later the ice was a little melted but there was still plenty of ice left! Pros:- waterproof zipper: I put water in this thing, shook it all around, laid it on its side and upside down and no leaks!- magnetic top: when you are using the cooler at your destination, no need to sip it back up every time. It has a magnetic closure( see video) that works very well.- says it has 2- day ice retention- I tested for 24 hours and can confirm ice was solid!- front pocket is also waterproof so if you are taking this to the beach and need somewhere to put your phone…you have a safe place.- beer bottle opener on the side- comfortable strap for carrying- cooler isn ’ t collapsible- it is solid and sturdy- has lubrication included for the zipper- the zipper is tougher to open because of the waterproof technology. Cons: to be honest, I can ’ t find a con. I guess some people may think the zipper is hard to unzip but I rather that than a leaky cooler. Kinda sad I didn ’ t get a larger one. You won ’ t be disappointed in this cooler or the larger ones in this line!

The Igloo ICF 32 its a fair- sized option for a smaller vehicle. I 've had it for about a month and one trip. It has so far held well and worked in both the vehicle as well as indoor. The compressor noise is quite low but is there. The one option that would be useful is a wheel that would allow one person to move the cooler easily. So far no major drawbacks but then I 've just owned it for a month and hopefully this lasts long given it's not so cheap price tag.

I bought this cooler on a Friday morning since I was going camping in 90 degree weather and needed something that would keep my food cold for a few days. On Friday at 11: 00am I put 6( 7lb) bags of ice in it and loaded it up with tons of food I had prepped to feed 7 people. I got to the campsite at 3pm and the temperature was 92 degrees. I put it in the shade. Saturday it was 98 degrees. I got home Sunday( 92 degrees) evening and took all the food out and drained some of the water out and put it back in my car. I left ice in it because I wanted to see how long it would last. It has been in my car for 24 hours and there is still a good amount of ice chunks in it( see photo). I am impressed. I was worried as some of the reviews mentioned cheap handles but I feel like it is pretty sturdy and didn ’ t have any issues.
