This is my second Okuma SST spinning rod for steelhead fishing. I use the 10' 6 '' SST Float Drift because it is well made, light, fast tip, and costs a third of the more expensive rods. I am not giving up anything on capability with this rod and it is priced right for me. I fish an Okuma Trios spinning reel for steelhead. I use 30 lb. braid for the main line. I use this rod for bobber doggin', float fishing, and drift fishing. Great quality at a great price that does n't break my bank!

the one other review is untrue, my first bass was my pb a 10lb hawg and the rod held up just fine. the sensitivity is great and the colors are super clean, and the baitcaster works perfectly fine it ’s just the guy in the other review probably doesn ’ t know how to use one. great product, good durability, and great baitcaster

I bought this thing last summer and its one of my favorites! Durable as hell. Its probably more of a Medium light rod to be honest but its my go to for finesse techniques like drop shot or tubes on the river. I will say tho i have used swim jigs with this thing and it was able to get a perfect hook set. Too light for any chatterbait tho. Honestly thinking about getting one more for a back up god forbid something happens to my current one.

I 've had this for over 3 months now, bought this for myself as I wanted something moderate price, getting back into fishing after about 15 years. Used it over a dozen times already and its just a good feeling reel and rod. Reel is smooth and the rod has some sensitivity to it and a little bit of backbone, which is great. I use 10 lbs fluoro and have had no trouble with the line slipping the spool or reeling in fish. Overall, just a perfect combo to grab and get out on the water for some quality fishing time, on a modest budget.
