This boardshort is true to size. I have a 33 '' waist and the medium fit perfectly. The length is at the knee and not above the knee. Love the color and the soft feel. They do not seem to collect lint. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars for one reason. In place of a zipper the shorts provide an overlapping panel to cover necessities but a Velcro opening would be more convenient.
