Bought this knee brace for my son who is over the moon with it. It supports his knee well so he can concentrate on his game. This is the second one we have purchased as the first one had a broken hinge. After getting ahold of Jumplete, they looked up the first order and sent out a replacement as it was within the one year warranty period. Not only did they communicate well, they bent over backwards to look up the information as I had deleted the email info previously. To small- framed people with thicker legs: I 'm 5' 3 '' 135 lbs with muscular legs. I 've read too many reviews of women's legs suffocating from the knee pads in the combo protective gear packs. I bought these separately and I 'm very satisfied with the product. I 'm able to wear these pads with the top strap about halfway velcroed and the bottom strap maybe 3/4 velcroed. They 're a little bulky, but I 'm able to maneuver on skates to the point where I forget I 'm wearing the pads. The only thing about buying the knee pads and wrist guards a la carte is that Dick's does n't sell elbow pads outside of the set, so I 'm still on the hunt for those.
