Wife loves the Adirondack, and this one does not disappoint. We bought two! Assembly is a little challenging unless you have a good( and proper sized) Allen wrench bit. The final two steps are the hardest. The pre- drilled holes for the screws are not aligned. Alignment requires an extra set of hands to pull the armrests very hard to get the holes in place. Need to alternate between the final and next to final steps.

I 've read a couple reviews on this product. Some of which were negative. The only negative i have is the instruction manual that comes with it. Anyone with limited mechanical skills or lack ability to follow directions should be able to tackle assembly in a few hours. My suggestion to those people i described is lay out the pieces and get familiar with them. Take your time and follow the diagrams. Those people with a vast knowledge of how to assemble something, this project will take you 25, 30 minutes tops to assembly. Those people that gave negative reviews are not very intelligent or people that complain about being alive. For$ 100 this product is very very nice. I have many pieces of exercise equipment in my home. This compared to some of the more expensive pieces ive purchased in the past from various sources is on par with all of them. It's not weak or unbalanced like someone mentioned in their review. I love this piece of equipment. If you have a bad back i recommend this

The arm rests are adjustable with a cord in the back and the cup holder even have little holes in the bottom so if you spill a drink in them you don ’ t have to worry about it standing and growing mold. The back has 3 levels of recline which are easily adjusted by pulling out the pin and sliding the bar upwards. Another great bonus is that there is a storage pouch on the back of the chair which is removable by unzipping it from the chair if you need to take your belongings with you when if you decide to explore. [ My husband and I just took these chairs on a five day canoe trip. They easily strapped under the stern seat for long portages and were balanced easily with a stuff sack under the bow seat. They set up in about a minute once you get used to the process and are so comfortable. If it was colder I would line the ventilated seats and backs with a blanket. They are tippy until you get used to them but it ’s not a big deal since you ’ re so close to the ground; also, all lightweight camp chairs are tippy. Too big to bring backpacking( don ’ t pack down small enough for a backpack) but definitely the right chair for a canoe trip!

[ I needed traveling chairs for my sons ’ swim meets that were light, compact and easy to fold, quick drying and a shorter profile for an 8 and 10 year old. These chairs seem to fit the bill. My boys were able to fold and carry them easily( parents aren ’ t allowed close to the pool), they don ’ t take up too much room so I can fit two easily into the car, the fabric doesn ’ t seem to absorb water so I can pack them up quickly and not have to worry about air drying before packing and storing and my boys thought they were very comfortable. I have had my chair for four years now. One of the wheels keeps falling off, and I found that the area around it is broken. Tried Gorilla glue to no avail. I did have the stabilizer bars replace, but they broke again, so I just use without. Best choice I ever mad for an office chair. The GCI Outdoor Roadtrip Rocker is an excellent chair that sits on the fence between an `` A '' or a `` B ''. Just a couple extra credit assignments and it firmly passes with straight A's. This chair is very comfortable and does a surprisingly good job as a rocking chair. The back is tall enough to lean back and feel supported. It is wide enough be bundled up in blankets and still have room. There are two things I 'd like have changed slightly. If you are sitting up to a table, or even just forward on the chair it is a bit too relaxed. Lastly, be prepared for a fairly large item when folded. Getting all this comfort into a bag poses a big challenge. Well done GCI!

[ Though I have not used it camping, yet, it is with my gear to go back in the camper. I set it up in the house, and it was a step up from my Chair One. Time will tell if it is a regular every time I set up camp, or not. I would take this anywhere I need to BYOC.

[ I ’ ve now had this chair for several months and have used it quite a bit. It folds down nice and compact and is high quality in its construction. It is very comfortable and typically is the first chair taken for a seat at camp. I didn ’ t realize how much I love having a higher back to my chair! It does take more time to assemble than a standard folding camp chair. The trade off of longer set up time( maybe 60 seconds more) is well worth the compactness when broken down, lightweight, quality of build, and over all comfort.

[ Just finished a 3 night motorcycle trip. Chair is light but sturdy, normal chair height, compact when folded and very comfortable. Was the envy of the other 24 on the trip and I had chase them out of it all the time. Used my 3 legged BP stool as an ottoman. Awesome!

And the only way to carry them was via the integrated handle on the frame, leaving no option to carry anything else.
