Probably not a great glove for the player that only plays once a week at his t ball game, but a great glove for kids that are serious about playing baseball and need a good glove to get comfortable

the glove was exactly what we expected, Is the glove our son wanted.

5 Coach Rex
I bought this glove for my son that loves to play baseball and try to keep up with his older brother. Amazing glove. It is a little tough to break in, but all good gloves are. The fit for a childs hand is great. My son is only 4 and has been using it for a year. It should last him until he is at least 8 years old. This glove is going to be a much better option than some of the cheap fake leather gloves that are out there for beginners. Probably not a great glove for the player that only plays once a week at his t ball game, but a great glove for kids that are serious about playing baseball and need a good glove to get comfortable with.

I 'm a 10U coach and my son has tried four gloves in the$ 40 to$ 110 range, and this one is the best glove by far based on its ability to have good enough structure& quality to catch fast balls coming across the diamond, yet being super light weight. You just do n't find that type of dexterity in a glove at this price point. Changing brands and recommending Akadema to all the kids.

The glove itself is the same high- quality Kip leather that Pro Preferred's are made from, but with the mesh back it's MUCH lighter, and way easier to control/close, without being `` floppy

5 Travel Baller Dad
I was tired of buying a new mid- level glove every year for my son, so splurged and bought him a Rawlings Pro Preferred hoping it would last multiple seasons – a GREAT glove, but way too heavy/stiff for him. Then we checked out the Akadema ADU135 and it might just be THE BEST GLOVE OUT THERE for an elite youth ballplayer. The glove itself is the same high- quality Kip leather that Pro Preferred's are made from, but with the mesh back it's MUCH lighter, and way easier to control/close, without being `` floppy ''. My son could n't be happier with this glove and should last him a couple years easily( he's on the second season of an Akadema Prodigy catcher's mitt). You can feel the quality and care Akadema puts into their products.

Bought this Akadema glove for my 9 year old son. He's a left handed first baseman. He previously had a Mizuno glove. It was okay, but since he started using his Akadema, I 've noticed a big improvement in his catching ability. His percentage of dropped balls has gone done dramatically. Before the Akadema, he was n't the starter at first base. After his catching started to improve, his coach took notice and he's been the starter ever since. I 'm not giving all the credit to the glove, but it has been a big factor in my son's improvement. They finished the regular season 15- 3 and are 3- 0 in the season tournament, competing in the championship game tonight as a matter of fact. Did I mention Akadema is an American company? Makes it even better. Buy this glove!

This glove was for my 8 year old and being a lefty, it was difficult to find a high quality glove that fit him. I can tell you for the money, it's a very nice glove. The palm has plenty of padding and while the length of the glove makes it seem small, the glove has a full size pocket, which is able to close around the ball completely. The finger wells are small, which is good and comfortable. We are still breaking it in, but so far, the quality far outstrips other options.

Fit my 8 yr old perfect. He has small hands and I was looking for a good quality youth glove that wouldnt break the bank. Love this glove, great quality and value.

Frequently Asked Questions For Akadema Infield Baseball Gloves

When selecting an infield baseball glove, consider factors such as the size, webbing style, and the material used in construction. The size should match your hand and position, while the webbing style affects ball control and visibility. Additionally, materials like leather or synthetic can influence durability and comfort.

The size of an infield baseball glove is crucial for performance, as it affects your ability to catch and control the ball. A glove that is too large may hinder your agility, while one that is too small could lead to missed catches. It's important to choose a size that allows for a snug fit without sacrificing mobility.

Infield baseball gloves are typically made from leather or synthetic materials, each offering distinct benefits. Leather gloves are known for their durability and ability to mold to your hand over time, providing a custom fit. Synthetic gloves, on the other hand, are often lighter and require less break-in time, making them suitable for younger players or those new to the game.

To enhance control, look for an infield baseball glove with a shallow pocket and a flexible web design. A shallow pocket allows for quicker ball retrieval, while a flexible webbing helps in securing the ball during catches. Additionally, consider gloves with adjustable wrist straps for a more personalized fit.

Yes, there are gloves specifically designed for youth players that cater to their smaller hand sizes and developing skills. These gloves often feature lighter materials and smaller dimensions, making them easier to handle. It's important to choose a glove that provides adequate support while allowing for growth and skill improvement.

The right webbing style for your infield glove depends on your playing position and personal preference. Closed webbing offers more support and is ideal for pitchers, while open webbing provides better visibility and is favored by infielders for quick ball transfers. Consider your role on the field and how you prefer to handle the ball when selecting a webbing style.
