[ I bought this for my 12 year- old son, who is working in at first as a secondary position. He loves this glove. The look is amazing, and the break- in has been pretty easy. We 've only thrown with it a couple of times, and he can nearly close it on his own. Pocket is large and deep, although we 've had to loosen some of the lacing in the webbing( which was really tight). Leather is super soft-- just a little oil to help with the break- in, and it feels great.

[ Bought in September to have ready by spring, and my son already likes how it's breaking in. The leather is GOOD, and soft enough to get worked into shape quickly. His hand grips nicely, and the finger slots are well- sized for him. Deep pocket/, and strong, tight webbing( important at first base). His last mitt blew a hole through the webbing, so we wanted a better make this time. Glad we chose the Wilson A1000.
