I work Mountain Patrol in the San Bernardino mountains. I have used the North Face gear for a long time; it has never let me down. This is my second pair of this line, and they get the job done when you need it most.

I love my new gloves. Used them in the rain and they kept my hands warm and dry. Fit is perfect too.

Extremely well built gloves, unlike most things you buy today you can actually feel the quality and workmanship in the glove. I 've so far used them outside on a day with- 25c and 80km/h winds and my fingers did n't get numb or lose dexterity at all. They are also very light weight for how warm they are.

These gloves remind me of TNF stuff from the 80's, amazing quality and thoughtful design with high end materials.

These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

Great well constructed glove. Runs small so I returned for a larger size( XXL) and still tight but I hope will pack out. I usually take an XL in almost every glove.

Nice gloves for the price. Measured hand per size guide and ordered Medium which felt a little snug around palms and around top of hand. Ended up reordering Large after trying the first pair on. Large fits perfect.

These mittens are like a warm hug for your hands — cozy, flexible, and surprisingly roomy without feeling like you 're wearing oven mitts. The eternal struggle with snow mittens? The super- warm ones are made for snowboarders who just need to high- five gravity, while skiers, who actually have to hold onto things, are left out in the cold. But fear not! These mittens somehow defy the laws of mitten physics by keeping your hands toasty and letting you grip your ski poles like a pro. Stop searching — you ’ ve found mitten perfection!

I 've never had mittens before, but since my hands were getting cold in my Hestras I decided to change it up. My hands were toasty warm all day on the mountain. Easy to get in and out off, and fit well under my jacket. Would highly recommend these gloves!

Love these so far. They have a really high quality construction and you can tell they will wear well. My gloves tend to wear through on the thumb a lot but these are reinforced. The liner is soft and cozy. No doubt they will serve me for many years to come. BD great as usual.

When selecting alpine gloves, consider features such as insulation for warmth, waterproofing to keep your hands dry, and breathability to prevent moisture buildup. Look for gloves with reinforced palms for durability and adjustable cuffs for a secure fit. Additionally, touchscreen compatibility can be beneficial for using devices without removing your gloves.
Alpine gloves are often made from a combination of synthetic materials, leather, and waterproof membranes. Insulation materials like down or synthetic fibers are used to provide warmth. The outer layer typically features durable, weather-resistant fabrics to withstand harsh conditions while maintaining flexibility and comfort.
To find the right size for alpine gloves, measure the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles and compare it to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. It's important to ensure a snug fit without being too tight, allowing for dexterity while keeping warmth in. Trying on gloves with a liner can also help determine the best fit.
Alpine gloves are designed for a variety of winter activities, including skiing, snowboarding, and mountaineering. They provide the necessary warmth and protection against cold and wet conditions encountered in alpine environments. Additionally, they can be suitable for other outdoor activities like snowshoeing or winter hiking.
Yes, there are various styles of alpine gloves tailored for specific conditions and activities. Some gloves are designed for extreme cold with heavy insulation, while others prioritize dexterity for tasks like adjusting gear. Gauntlet-style gloves offer additional coverage and protection against snow, while lighter gloves may be better for milder conditions.
To enhance the durability of your alpine gloves, choose models made from high-quality materials that are designed for rugged use. Proper care, such as cleaning them according to the manufacturer's instructions and storing them in a cool, dry place, can also extend their lifespan. Avoid exposing them to excessive heat, which can damage the materials.
