I was very skeptical about buying this at first because I mainly use ice when doing cold therapy on my ankle. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how this compression boot was able to properly ice my ankle! It was almost like having ice on it! I am a basketball player who works out 5- 7 times a week and I 've had multiple ankle injuries. This compression boot does a great job of icing everything from the mid calf down to the sides of the ankle. It does not have an ice pack going under the bottom foot part though in case anyone was wondering. HOWEVER!! Be very careful when icing with this! I accidentally did not put one of the ice packs all the way into the inner sleeve of the compression boot and I iced for 20 minutes with part of the ice pack in direct contact of my skin. Because of this I got mild ice pack burn!! It is n't that painful but I can imagine it would have been much worse if I had continued icing past 20 minutes! While there are protective sleeves inside the boot to hold the ice pack, it's important not to ice for over 20 minutes because you can end up getting an ice pack burn! This is because ice packs stay cooler longer than ice and is colder than it ice is too! That is my little tidbit of advice for anyone buying this! But overall I 'd definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for an easier icing session and it's one of the best investments I 've made!

Shoes styling keeps getting lower and lower with no ankle support. These have added contour support in the interior on both sides. Easy to wash I personally use a lingerie bag and I don ’ t put in the dryer I air dry. They are holding up well maintaining their shape and socks slide over pretty easily. I bought this to replace my ShockDoctor 851. The 851 worked well but was too bulky inside my hiking boot and sometimes a little challenging to take off and put on in the field. I 've had ankle reconstructive surgery and need to protect my ankle in the back country. I 've been wearing it around the house and so far, so good.
