Great all- around… bouncy feel, better cushion than Ghost/Pegasus, average weight and stack. Significantly better than the 4. ATC is a slightly stiffer around the foot but otherwise runs the same as the regular. Does not have the best grip especially in wet conditions. Tounge could be better than flimsy fabric.

I 've got flat feet. I used to wear Gel Kayanos until they became Hoka copies, too tall and too squishy. These GT 1000s feel the way Kayanos used to feel- firmly comfortable and stable. I 'm making these my new ASICS standard.

The Asics stays soft and comfortable through the entire run, and are probably some of the most comfortable shoes in general. My favorite part I have found with the Asics shoes are the area under the ball of the foot stays soft for your entire run. Almost every other shoe I have does n't do this as well as the Asics. Now I ’ m thinking I should have bought 2 pairs. I do about 120 miles a month, so I ’ m curious to see how long they will last running asphalt hills.

I 'm about 5 runs into this shoe at about 3 mi each run. I was looking for my usual GT- 2000 trail but, seems even Asics site does not have them so I took a chance on these. I 'm glad I did. They are very comfortable and have good traction on pavement and along the prairie path tiny gravel. I have worn a size 9 in GT- 1000, GT- 2000, and Gel Venture. My usual size fit perfectly with these. Did not have to upsize. Hope this helps.
