[ Took on a day trip to big bend, handled the 45 lbs very well. The access features are great, especially the clam shell owning and brain doubling as a day pack. For a better review check out backcountry tv. Not lighter than osprey but you feel it ’ ll last you longer and be easier to fit to you.

[ I bought this pack because of the running vest shoulder harness system. I heard reviews that it relieved the pain that other hikers were having with their standard shoulder harnesses. I haven ’ t had a chance to use it yet but just trying to nine I could tell that the pressure points are not on my shoulder bit more in the front of my chest.

This is a great pack for both car and airline travel. I pack smart with packing compressors packing cubes but I wouldn ’ t say I pack light and I had plenty of space. The waist belt allows me to comfortably carry this pack through the airport. The straps stow easily and it fits in the overhead bin.

[ This backpack is great for traveling, especially on a flight. The adjustable straps make it a perfect companion for your back if you ’ re like me and can never find a perfect fit in packs. The straps can be hidden with a zippable cover that is stowed away in a pocket at the bottom of the pack as well. My favorite part of this bag is that the hip belt is durable and comfortable so it makes carrying it easy.

Used this pack over 3 days and 30 miles summitting King's Peak in Utah. I purposely packed more luxury camp items for a total pack weight of 30 pounds. At that weight the pack was the most comfortable and least sweaty of any I 've ever used. I nearly purchased the pro 55, but some of the features of the standard 58 really make for a more comfortable journey. I can always do the top brain and shave 4- 5 ounces, if desired to get within 7- 8 ounces of the Pro and hit the trail with far more comfort in the shoulder straps, hip padding, andplaces to lay my trekking poles.

[ Just returned from a weekend hiking in the Cranberry Glades section af the Monongahela National Forest. With food, water, and all my creature comforts items, my pack weighed in at 30 lbs. I couldn ’ t ask for a more comfortable pack. The adjustment options, along with the front stuff pocket proved to make my hike much more enjoyable. The only thing that needs to be changed is the cinch straps cross the side pockets. It was difficult to remove and replace my water bottles without first stopping to remove my pack.

Not the best day pack because it is too big, but it is a great multi- day pack, which is what i got it for. Carries snowboard, skis, and all your gear with ease. Very well made! Just used it in Rainier in May and it held up wonderfully. The ski strap system is a little finicky and can make the skis rest uncomfortably especially if you have to down climb steep snow.
5
Stevie B
Comfortable, functional and well thought- out pack. Gregory did a great job in designing this pack and it was definitely designed by folks who do BC ski touring. To begin, the pack is quite comfortable with loads. You can fit items in this pack much more easily than other ski touring packs I 've tried. While it's not the lightest, for the size and carry capacity, it is light! I did n't think I 'd use the Fast Track ski carry option, but on my second tour with it, I was using it bunches on the ascent. The FT is awkward if you 're descending, at least for me at 5' 9 ''. The shovel, probe compartment is very ample as well but beware that components can kind of slip out of this compartment when you take off your pack, set it down, etc. Very happy and impressed!

Used this pack for a 14 day hike. It was comfortable and kept my back dry. Good value for money.

I really love this pack. It's the second one I 've used as I 've only been backpacking for about 2 years. It is the perfect size to accommodate all of the things I need, but it's not so large that I over- pack. I 've used it on weekend trips on the PCT, a 5- day trip in the Sierras and on a 4- day Rim- to- Rim Grand Canyon hike. I could fit a small Bear Cannister in the pack and my tent was on the outside of the pack for the 5- day trip. I am more of a minimalist when it comes to what I put in my pack, so some people might need a larger pack for longer hikes. Sometimes the chest strap feels too high, so I would like a lower option for that, but I am 5' 4 '' '', so that might not be a problem for someone who is taller. I 've used the bladder reservoir as well and it works great. I have n't used it in the rain yet, but I do n't forsee any problems. When the pack is heavier( 30 lbs), I do feel soreness on my hips, but when I can keep it lighter( last trip 24 lbs) I have no soreness from using this pack. I also like that there are n't a lot of compartments so I 'm only looking in a few places if I do n't remember where I put something.

[ I bought this a month ago and took it on a backpacking trip in Oregon. The support, the adjustments, and the pockets everywhere made this such a great bag! I was able to carry twice the weight my husband was because the weight distribution was so good. The zippers are durable, so I could pack a lot of stuff without being too worried. I also was able to use the detachable day- pack for days in the city. I 'm an XS/S in this pack, and I brought it as a carry- on on two large airlines, which was an added bonus.

[ I completed the Tour Du Mont Blanc with the pack, loaded out at 43LBS with Gregory's 3D hydro 2L reservoir. This pack is SO COMFORTABLE, well vented and has just the right access. The water bottle holder is great. No taking off the pack to get your 0. 5L Nalgene. Good amount of external storage. On a long hike like the TMB where you are on the trail for 6- 7 hours every day, comfort is king and this pack delivered. A couple minor complaints: No Rain Fly. For the price point, others provide it, but Gregory's standard rain fly fit perfect and did the job on the one day it was required. The zippers on the hipbelt pockets are a little frustrating to operate one- handed. I 'm a larger, sweaty guy that needed a trampoline style pack for good ventilation on hot summer days. This pack delivered. I just ca n't recommend it enough.

I just hiked 5 miles at Kings Mountain state park for a gear shakeout for a trip to Utah. I 'm extremely impressed with the pack overall. As a 6 ft 2 in 300lb dude it was a game changer from my Kelty coyote 80 I 've used for 13 years. Ca n't say enough good so far!

I received this pack 2 days before embarking on a 150 mile trek through the backcountry of Yellowstone NP. This pack more than provided for all of my needs. Extremely comfortable, and extremely durable. I really put this pack through the the ringer, adding to my adventure with miles through Grand Teton NP and Badlands NP. This pack accommodated all of the various needs. Will be once again strapping up with this pack this weekend for an Appalachian Trail section hike, and a thru hike of the Foothills Trail.

I got this pack about 3 weeks ago and I have tested it out several times. It is a very simple and easy- to- use pack with great features and comfort. It is easy to adjust the torso length and various straps, and all of the storage compartments work well. If you are looking for something to keep you comfortable and happy on the trail this is the way to go! Definitely for longer trips where you would need a BV 500 or more gear. In the last month, this pack has been used in the Sierra's, Humbolt- Toiyabe national forest in Nevada, and Pine Valley in Utah on 2+ night backpacking trips. I have never been disappointed by anything I have used from Gregory, and this bag has been a solid piece of gear. 10/10 would recommend!

I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!

My girlfriend ordered the extended fit for me not because I 'm morbidly obese but because my shoulders are 3x the size of the normal person. I have a bodybuilder frame and she decided to give it a go. Just wow fits my shoulders perfectly with a lot of extra room if I decide to go on a McDonald's and deep fried Twinkie diet. I usually pack around 50- 75 lbs worth of peanut butter and jelly sandwich's to deliver to the hermits that live in the woods. This pack let's me just load the PB& J's with no problem.

[ I bought this a few weeks ago for the 13 year old son to use on a campout with his Trail Life troops after being inadequately prepared for his last trip. The pack was perfect! He easily and comfortably carried everything he needed for the weekend and was comfortable on the trail.

Great overall ride and quality. Bought for the Kalalau trail hike in Kuaui, held everything we needed and has great organization. The straps and suspension system worked well and it distributed the weight evenly. This is a great pack for entry level backpackers or more advanced backpackers, big enough to carry all comfort items you would want for a 2- 3 day trip. Hip pads were big enough for cell phones and other items which was handy.

This backpack has a ton of extras on it and secures and cinches tight. The best part is that it can be customized for your body type and does not wear on you even when hiking over 10 miles a day through rough terrain.

The Kalmia offered great space/ volume per weight, and fit me so well! The adjustable backplate offered needed personalization for fit, and the padding protected me from hotspots without being bulky. The rotating shoulder straps made a difference; I could feel the pack moving with me, instead of against me. The Kalmia 50 is my new go to pack! While this pack offers some personalization, it is n't the pack for everyone. I highly recommend trying the pack on before purchasing, and walking around a bit with some weight added to see how she rides. Overall: well made, great weight to capacity ratio, helpful personalization through various adjustment and tension points, moves with the hiker.

[ This is my first true backpacking pack so I do n't have much to compare this to, but it seems great! Plenty of adjustment options to get the perfect fit. High quality material and zippers. Seams all appear to be strong. Looking forward to many great trips with it!

[ This was my first backpack and I noticed it had lots of features that makes it so comfy when carrying like 50 lbs, all the straps, zippers and clips are high quality and the life time warranty makes it even a good purchase. Waiting for more advetures with this awesome backpack.

[ Only used it once since I ’ ve received it. Seems well made, I like the various compartments for keeping things organized, well priced, and weighs much less than my old backpack. Easily fits a 70m rope, climbing shoes, harness, helmet, and water bladder. And there ’s still lots of room!

[ The osprey was exactly what I needed with the adjustments in the hip lumbar and shoulders it took a lot of pressure off of my shoulders and transferred it better to the hips and balanced it better. The quality the look everything was just top notch. I have the north face terra 55 but just seemed there wasn ’ t as many adjustments as the osprey. Now I know what all the hype is about with osprey.

[ We haven ’ t gone on the big hike we have planned yet, but from everything I learned from the research the Osprey are the best. This pack has many nice features and I can ’ t wait to use it.

My torso is 17 '' so I purchased the S/M size expecting it to be on the shortest setting. I found I needed to have it just under the longest setting to fit me correctly with the middle of the hip belt on my iliac crest. I think you might be able to squeeze into this pack if your torso is 19 '' maximum. Easily the most comfortable pack I have tried on, very happy with my purchase.

I love this pack! I finally upgraded after years of indecision and I could n't be happier with the Jade 63. I used Gregory's size calculator to pick my size and took her out on her maiden voyage. The pack felt comfortable around my hips and shoulders and distributed the weight perfectly for a highly supportive feel. If you are in the market for a pack that fits well, moves with you, and holds everything you need for a big adventure, I recommend the Jade 63!

[ When using the Jade 63, the suspension system is incredible in that I can carry substantial weight while feeling the support I need when backpacking. I ’ d highly recommend this pack for all backpacking adventures!

[ The Deuter Aircontact Ultra is an awesome pack! High quality, durable, and the perfect size for me. I ’ ve been wanting a hiking pack for awhile, and I ’ m so glad I held out for this one. The color is beautiful, too. It holds everything I need for a hike and is very comfortable and well structured. Definitely recommend!

[ I rarely leave reviews on products, but I have to say that this was a really good product. I was in the marker something like this, as I was looking to change it up a bit from the normal product I use and this was perfect. I would certainly recommend it!

[ I wasted no time using this pack on my recent hikes. It ’s super lightweight, easy to adjust, extremely roomy, comfortable to wear and the color is a unique beautiful orange/( sienna/paprika). The lumbar pad was highly effective in redistributing weight. Not major but my only gripe is that the air contact back system didn ’ t do the best job at minimizing sweat and dampness. I realize it ’s been a very hot& humid summer so I look forward to testing out that feature in cooler weather conditions during an upcoming fall hike. Happy adventures all!

[ I love this hiking backpack. It looks amazing, the color is perfection. It's extremely comfortable to wear and distributes weight well. The material is very comfortable as well. It seems to be made of high quality with great stitching and materials. This would be perfect for anyone needing something like this for hiking. Look no further! Really!

[ I live in Colorado and my wife and I spend a lot of time in the backcountry. My wife and I have used several bags and this is now my wife ’s favorite for backpack camping. I took this bag out for three days and found even though it says it ’s made for a woman, I found it very comfortable and had no problems with it. The first thing I noticed is it ’s lightweight for the size. The ripstock fabric has held up very well and I haven ’ t had any tears or pulls. It ’s light but very durable. My wife said she thought it was incredibly comfortable for her. The lumber support and and the piece that goes around your waist is nice light support. We both loved the back system as it is GREAT if you sweat a lot. It had very good ventilation and helps keep you cool with the Air Spacer mesh. This bag has gear loops I attached my GPS too on the front and my wife and I both loved the mesh pockets on the hip. The pockets are easy to access and secure. Overall my wife and I both agree this is a fantastic, quality bag that is great for the backcountry. You get a lightweight bag with great features to make your long treks more enjoyable.
