The bright color pattern along with the halfway- point indicator ensures that I, as well as my fellow outdoor enthusiasts, are as safe as possible. ... Great rope for most

This is a very light rope, it's also soft and very fast to belay.
5
mountainschmitz
I got this rope for a trip to Red Rocks for cragging to multi pitch classics. Not too heavy not too thin. It gives a soft catch and easily moves through the belay device.
5
Mark
I got this rope for a good all around summer rope. I feels nice and light and easy to manage. Rope management is the name of the game and this rope is easy to work with.
5
Mkhitar
I love 9. 4 rope cause it thin, light, soft enough for my fingers when pulling to clip, and also it does n't get twisted passing trough atc or through top rope binners when you work on your project!

Just wrapped up guiding two weeks ’ guiding in the Black Hills with two of these 80m cords( required for some of the extended pitches and TR situations we were rigging for clients.). Rope selection is always a trade off, but I was surprised by how light and packable these were- and even more surprised by how well they held up to group TR days over long pitches of rough rock. Price is a sweet spot, too. I ’ ll be stocking more of these for sure.

Unbeatable harness. It is stable and comfortable. ATC belay device and other basic accessories are light and top quality.

This climbing bundle is amazing! The belay device is super easy to learn and great for beginners. The harness is also amazing quality and very robust! The only thing I did not like is size fitment, but that is totally on me!
5
Terri Y
It was a bit bulky at first, but honestly, it is very comfortable after wearing and climbing/rappelling all day. I definitely prefer it over my previous harness. I love the quick adjustment of the double buckles in front of the harness, which for me, makes it easier to take off and put on, especially over bulky layers. The belay device is still working pretty hard, and is really lightweight, yet reliable. I really like the chalk bag too! This was by far a steal!
5
Michael B
The harness is great and has been very comfortable while I ’ ve gone climbing!

[ Very comfortable and good quality, very easy to climb in. Adjustable straps on the harness, the atc is very nice and slides easily. Comes with everything someone would need for climbing.

I would recommend getting it if you want a super nice workhorse rope.

[ I used this rope for the first time yesterday on a granite low- angle slab. The twill weave of the sheath makes for a very `` slippery '' feel, and it slithered off of every sloping ledge we belayed on! It just wanted to slide downhill. A good thing, actually, as it handles well and always came down fully when pulled down after rappelling. A confidence- inspiring rope!

[ This rope lasted a good while getting beat up on roof climbs in NC. Maxim's sheath design is unique and performed well over its use. The 9. 9mm version of this rope does n't do a great job getting through a gri gri, but it will still look brand new after working your project all day. I would recommend this rope to be your long day multi- pitch and work horse rope that can take a beating.

Great cams, Super smooth trigger pull. ... I 'm starting my double rack with more BD gear:) ... Smooth to place and keeps me safe. ... Always a secure feeling when setting

The Ultralights are excellent cams. But with my recent entry into family life I 'm not getting out much and the lifespan of the Ultralights did n't make sense anymore. Honestly the C4 lineup is n't that much heavier. Especially when incsider where they came from when I started climbing 35 years ago. The new C4 lineup is dreamy.

The black Diamond Camalot is my favorite camming device for protecting traditional rock climbs. I am interested on climbing in Yosemite where this device can be useful.

[ Incredible handling and climbing right out of the package with minimal coil. Superior handling to any rope I 've used before( Petzl, BD, Mammut, etc.). Even with the double dry coating, the rope is still super subtle and handles as though there's no coating on it at all.

[ I have done about 35 pitches with this rope. Aside from the normal stress getting twists out that most new ropes give i am really impressed with the handling of this rope and how easily it feeds through belay devices. It still catches falls really nicely though. I have used this rope with a rope bag except on multipitches so i am surprised at how much dirt this rope has picked up. Although we did get caught in the rain once and it may have been a little damp on the next outing. I will give it a wash and evaluate further

This is my third BD 9. 4 Dry, not because they wear out or need replaced for some reason, but because I have them in different lengths because they 're the best rope I 've ever used! This time I got the 40m because my local crags here in PA are only 18m so it's perfect- very little rope laying on the ground and lighter to back in and out! What a great idea BD to make this 40m rope! I LOVE it!!! Thanks!
5
Joe D.
This rope is ready to roll right from the box with minimal break in needed. It ’s durable and coil ’s easily. I bought the bd rope marker after reading reviews that the mid mark wears quickly but my mid mark is still clearly visible after 15 to 20 uses( trad mp climbing) in mostly dry conditions. Planning to use this for ice climbing as well. Great rope!

Sterling W.
This rope is exactly what a rope should be. Not too thick or thin and dry treated so I can use it on ice or snow in the winter!

[ Purchased rope in Sept 16. Use it for leading weekly. Have also used it for short single pitch top rope climbing outside. The rope has held up really nicely! [ Only had a chance to use this rope in the gym a couple of times, but it's doing the job. The tight weave can be abrasive during a fall or a quick descent for the belayer. Otherwise, it's an efficient and size- appropriate rope for the gym.

Exceeds expectations. This is a great addition to my climbing gear. it's so light I did n't notice it even on. It works flawlessly going up or down the rope. At twice the cost of other ascenders its a little expensive, but my life if worth it. Hope yours it to you too...

So, these ARE my first set of ascenders, so I do n't have much to compare them to... the Hight Plains Drifter
I am a 64 year old man, 6' 3 '', 255 lbs. I use this ascender for roof climbing and tree trimming. I know. Little old to be monkeying in trees, but I like to do things myself. The Petzl Ascender has yet to `` let me down ''. Actually it `` let's me down '' perfectly.
5
rumscrumbly
[ This is everything you need in an ascender, it's light but feels bomber in your hands. Not tiny either, you could get a bear paw in there. Super smooth moving up the rope and the catch is easy to work with one hand. 'Biner holes big enough for about anything... just another solid Petzl product!

[ Finally got to use this over the weekend and as I am somewhat new to climbing and very new to cleaning gear, this is my first PAS and it worked very well for me and made the job easy. The material seems extremely durable, thick and yet it weighs nearly nothing, which I would assume since it ’s not really much material but I feel totally comfortable with this PAS supporting all solid 140lbs of body weight.

The mips system is there it does n't change the feeling neither rhe fit. The headlamp attachment is easy to use and secure. The back attachment is not as easily adjustable as some other brand, but he it's no big deal.

Melissa M.
This helmet fits me perfectly and is much lighter than my half dome helmet I 've been wearing for years. Plus, MIPS. Ca n't go wrong with this upgrade.
5
Devon M.
This is the slimmest, lightest helmet all while providing the best protection out there. The weight makes hiking to exit points almost feel like I forgot to bring a helmet at times, while longer delay times off exit don ’ t rattle the neck on opening. This helmet will fit as snugly as you ’ d like while maintaining comfort. I can vouch that this helmet ain ’ t going anywhere on your head, even when going from a 60mph freefall to a dead stop.
5
daniel i.
A helmet is for protecting your head and not for saving weight!! Great style, I dont usually wear black but this thing pulls together any outfit you have. I have n't tried hot summer climbing with it yet, but I 'll wear it over any super lightweight helmet. I took a 50+ footer, upside down, back slamming whipper in the Valley last season and vowed to always wear a MIPS helmet in case that ever happens again.
5
Sarah S.
I recently decided I needed a new helmet and like the idea of something slightly bulkier and heavier than what I used before but also more protective. Well, I was in a crash and the helmet did it ’s job and actually saved me.

Let's be honest, there are a lot of cams out there, and some of them are great and worth buying, but ultimately I will keep coming back for BD cams because they are great to use and last a long time.

The narrow head is the primary source of joy with these cams. There have been many instances when the C4 sized. X cam head is too wide, and the Z4 equivalent fits excellent. The stem, when stiff has been noticeably effective when sliding these in sideways.
