Best advice I can give is to buy these in person. Some stores may have left over stock and those minnows are no good. Look for the fresh ones. Get yourself a# 4 hook, a bobber, and split shot if needed; and you 're set. Goodluck, fish on.

The in- laws were in town and the wife sent me out to get supplies. So I loaded up the truck and headed to my favorite store, Dicks Sporting Goods, in search of a good deal. I picked up some lawn chairs and charcoal and noticed that the Baby Shad was on sale and new it would make the perfect addition to our BBQ. I served them on a Ritz cracker paired with some goat cheese my uncle made. The shad tasted unique and the bones would get stuck in our teeth.

I bought these dead shiners and just put them under a bobber and was catching trout at a stocked pond for 2 hours. Big fish eat little fish, so these guys got the job done.
