He's got very good at picks as well with it. His defense was on lock with this glove. It also can be adjusted for a smaller wrist as well. You just have to relace it to the smaller holes. This also made it easier to catch direct throws as well.

I would n't be so quick to hate on this mitt for your kid. We have the A500 version of this glove, which be bought off Am* zon in October 2019. After a solid 2 seasons, spring and summer of splitting the catching duties, it was finally broken in. It is nicely constructed and mostly all leather( or leather- type) material. No fleece linings. Sturdy enough. Now that we are approaching spring 2022 and my kid will be 11, he can start the season with this. We are getting a backup to break in as only now the padding seems to be wearing thin and bigger kids throw harder.
