The Force Current replaces a stern drive and trolling motor all in one unit. Spot lock works great and this is a perfect upgrade for my kayak. The wireless pedals are a little sensitive and take a little getting use to but not having to run wires made installation quick and simple. Definitely worth the investment.

absolutely love my garmin force current with pedals. the pedals are a little tight but other than that it works flawlessly. do n't pay any attention to the videos saying anchor lock does n't work in moving water or windy conditions. I have done both and it works great. you just want to line your kayak up so everything is in the right position. same as you would with an anchor. it looks right in and never moves much at all with heavy currents on the James river and it was really windy. I am using a cloud energy 24V 150AH battery. battery is awesome as well but the 100AH would have been the better choice as it is lighter and fully waterproof. I built a box for mine out of PVC board. I have never used even half of this battery and I am towing my son's kayak behind me and out there for hours. I did n't like the pedal supports that came with it so I made my own with treated plywood. this is all on a Kaku Guru Kayak. I did the camo painting myself with long grass and spray paint. Look on YouTube for how to camo it. I did tons of research on everything on the kayak and just wanted to share it all. have fun fishing.

I ’ ve loved Garmin products for a long time now. I used to have a force trolling motor on my old fishing boat and loved it. Now that I live in Florida I primarily fish from a pedal drive kayak in the gulf. So when I decided to upgrade to a trolling motor, I didn ’ t hesitate to go with the Force Current with foot controls on my Native Titan X kayak. I finally got a chance to get it on the water a few days ago and it did not disappoint me at all. I paired it with my Garmin 73sv and connected 2 lithium 12v 100ah batteries in a series for 24V to get the maximum thrust capabilities. The foot steering takes some getting used to but I love the hands free fishing. Now instead of sticking to a 3 mile radius with my foot pedals, I can go an extra few miles. I ran that motor all day about 9 hours of fishing, only using the pedal drive a few times, plus ran it wide open twice for about 15- 20 minutes each time. When I got done I still had 81% battery charge left. The install was pretty easy on my kayak. Also the motor is light and easy to remove. Plus it ’s extremely easy to lift out of the water in a hurry with the pull rope. I run in very skinny water most of the time and it performs wonderfully. One thing I ’ m thrilled about is the remote and the fact that Garmin made it so you have to hit the turbo button twice to engage it. I ca n't tell you how many times I almost sent myself or someone else in the water on the boat by accidentally hitting the button. It ’s a high price tag but well worth the money!

Purchased the current only a couple weeks ago, but even only after a few trips i am extremely impressed. It ’s clear that there was a lot of thought put into this motor. Everything from the mounting design, to the simple but effective stow and deploy system, to the heading hold feature that somehow works great from the stern. Everything is so dialed in for use on a kayak. Even with it being a very expensive product, it hasn ’ t felt like I over spent a dime. I don ’ t see how you could spend much less to get 5. 5mph on a PA14 with GPS functionality. And that ’s not including the one of a kind wireless foot steering. Shout out to Garmin for really delivering.

Ive had a torqueedo for 4 years and switched to the garmin. The foot pedals take some practice, very easy to get yourself in trouble if you do n't watch it. The integration into my 126SV is awesome... being able to select a way point on the map and it sending me there is pretty cool. The anchor lock is better than I anticipated. Between the foot pedals, the remote, and my graph there are 3 ways to control the motor. I do wish there was a button to return the prop to home position after anchor lock... only con I 've come up with so far.

I use this on rented rowboats at a park in the area to fish. There ’s plenty of power to move you at about 4 mph. I like the continuous variable speed to fight the wind. It uses the battery sparingly. Cuts through weeds decently well. I might upgrade to prop.

[ Upgraded my boat and needed to upgrade my trolling motor. I was looking for a unit priced well that still has all the features. My last boat had a Terrova and it always worked without issue so I decided to go for another. Love all the features and third party accessories available. While the included remote is feature rich, it was too big for my liking. A quick search resulted in the availability of a micro remote. I now have two remotes I use simultaneously, the original for my passenger, and the micro for myself. Seems like they either listen to customers or personally use these products themselves. I see 15- 20 year old boats still rocking their original Minn Kota. That's a good indication of longevity.

My Old Town Autopilot 136 in gray Ghost Limited Edition arrived yesterday. Was wrapped nicely in heavy gauge plastic to protect it. After unwrapping and looking it over I found the Kayak to be of very thick and well- built materials. It is a heavy craft but the quality is amazing. Customer service was very easy to deal with and quite helpful getting me the answers I needed. Very spacious kayak and lots of room for everything I want to add. Cons- I wish they gave an option for aluminum rails to replace the plastic ones. Though the plastic ones are strong I just like heavy duty for fish finders etc. I also wish they would list the model number of the included trolling motor to make it easier for looking up spare or backup parts. Would I recommend this kayak to friends? without a doubt.

[ The Schwinn Parkwood E- Bike gives a smooth ride. It was easy to put together, well built, and heavy duty. The brakes are great, I had to adjust the front break but thats normal. The ride assist is amazing. I wondered how it would be to use and it was surprisingly quick. I definitely look forward to warmer days for longer rides. The tires are large and ride effortlessly over bumps. There are different levels of assist for harder or easier rides. As you pedal the assist helps accelerate you forward which is very beneficial for those who want to ride but suffer from bone or joint issues. The gears shift with ease. You can charge the battery off or on the bike. And the battery is locked on for safety. Everything about this bike for me, is incredible.

[ I ’ ve been trying out the Schwinn Parkwood E- bike, and here ’s my take. This bike is solid – the fat tires and sturdy frame make it strong, but it's heavy without the battery. Riding it without power is a workout. But once you turn on the motor, it's a different story. The pedal assist kicks in smooth, making the weight less of an issue. It's a bit slippery, so be careful, especially on turns. Assembly was easy – just plug in the bits, tighten some bolts, and you 're good to go. What I like is the value. For the price, you 're getting a quality ride that 'll last. If you 're gon na use it like I do( not too far, but often), it's worth every penny. Bottom line: if you want a comfy, sturdy e- bike for cruising, this one ’s a good choice.

[ I can ’ t find anything bad to say about my Ultrex. After living with the Edge 45 for two years this is like going to a Cadillac. The thrust is awesome and the control is just spot on. Then add in the spot lock, I can pull in between two docks, spot lock and fish both docks fully. It was semi easy to install but only because I had never done one. Great product and such a Great tool for my boat.

First thing we tried was a Tri- tip and the skewers held it perfectly. This is a must- have for open fire chefs! My only recommendation would be a separate thinner line of skewers in the skewer attachment- the ones provided will be great for wings or sausage, but they were too thick for a reasonable cut size of most veggies.

I ’ ve had this kayak for a month and it ’s my favorite kayak I ’ ve owned! It ’s extremely versatile, from fishing small skinny rivers to large open bodies of water. The cockpit is very spacious and the drainage is well thought out. It ’s built like a tank just like all the Old Town ’s I ’ ve owned. It ’s bone dry inside the hull after every trip. Sit or stand, it ’s very stable and tracks well, especially with the upgraded rudder kit. I ’ d highly recommend the foot steering to go with this kayak. It equals more casts on the water and( hopefully) catching more fish! The ability to motorize this kayak with bow or stern motors or just paddle makes this the most versatile kayak I ’ ve had the pleasure of using on the water. 5 stars!

Very exciting update to the Sportsman lineup. Always been a big fan of Old Town's paddle kayaks because they offer stability with performance and rigability. This one takes that a step further as you 're able to rig the kayak in WHATEVER way you see fit. It's awesome to be able to mount the Stern motor and also have a quick on- and- off option for a bow- mounted motor like the Minn Kota when you want. After spending a couple of months in mine, I love how comfortable it is and how much space it has in the hatch. Definitely has made the longer days on the water much more manageable.

I was able to try this kayak for a day, and this is what I found. Three things stood out to me right away. Large open cockpit, tons of metal track front and back as well as bow and stern ready mounting locations for motors. The kayak I used was rigged out with a Minn Kota Kayak Terrova Bow- Mount Electric Trolling Motor with GPS – 55 Lb. Thrust, the optional and IMO definitely recommended rudder system and a Mega Live 2 with a 9 '' explore unit. First stepping into this kayak, I felt good stability with no problems standing to cast or setting the hook. There was room for gear in the back, under the comfortable seat and of course plenty of room in the cock pit. This kayak moved well with the Terrova and had great maneuverability especially in combination with the rudder. I feel this kayak is a great option as an introductory kayak to just paddle but can grow with you should you desire to rig it out with a motor or any other electronics. It really gives you a lot of options with an easy to rig and sturdy platform.

I ’ ve spent a lot of time in different fishing kayaks, and the Sportsman 120 Pro is one of the most well- rounded platforms I ’ ve used. What stands out to me is how much usable space you get without the kayak feeling oversized or difficult to manage. The new features such as larger through hull ports, bow mount capability, and a larger deck make this boat a top option for kayak anglers as well as recreational kayakers. Bow to stern includes as the upgrades that users have been asking for, from bigger hatch, predrilled wiring ports and power pole mounts on both sides of the stern.
