I have been using my odyssey putter for the past 20 years and was not putting great. I just thought I a was a bad putter. I did research on new putter products and decided I was going to get fitted properly. I was relatively sure in wanted a Camron designed putter. I was surprised by a few things. 1- I had a much better putting stroke then I thought, machine does not lie. 2- I was using the wrong size and type of putter 3- The center line on putter was throwing my aim off After hitting several different type and snap of putter this was my perfect putter. Had it for a few weeks and my putting has improved dramatically and I am much more confident.

From first glance this putter caught my eye. Being a lover of the Ping Anser design, I was in awe at the fact they ’ d introduce a blacked out version of it. However, if looks helped putts drop to the bottom of the cup this review would be over, but the putter is phenomenal! This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!

I am in love with my Scotty Cameron 2023 Super Select Newport 2. 5+ putter! I switched from my Odyssey Stroke Lab Double Wide putter to the SC and the main thing I noticed about the SC was how well balanced it felt in my hands. I have played 3 rounds with the SC and the “ feel ” I have using the SC is helping me putt with better touch. The Odyssey is a good putter also. But the “ feel ” I have with the Scotty gives me more confidence to believe I can make my putts!

There was a cool ping too with the Italian flag I ’ m still thinking about, and the gold finish on the bettinardi was just so slick. But at the end of the day, this Newport sleighs. Super solid off the club face. This putter is replacing my 25 year old Titleist XL putter and it just feels so much more solid. Happy to upgrade.
