I found it all with the Evoke Premier paddle. I purchased the 'heavy' model, which gives my shots that extra pop I want. The surface is nicely textured, and delivers all the spin I can muster. If I could find any room for improvement in the Evoke Premier, it would be the material used for the handle, which can get quite slippery under humid conditions. Some overwrap took care of that. Although this frame has been around for awhile, I highly recommend it.

Every other paddle is predictably carbon fiber and all seem to be chasing the latest fad in paddle technology. They 're all innovating, sure, but in such a narrow space that they all start to seem kind of... the same. This is an upgrade to my previous paddle. Do n't get me wrong, my first paddle was decent as well, but as my game has progressed and started understanding my style of play, I needed a paddle that catered to it. Paddle is a good all- around paddle with a little more power than my current one. Also, the textured surface helps to provide more spin as well. I like the sound and feel of this paddle better and would most likely buy it again, unless there is a technology change worth chasing in the future.

I needed an upgrade from my Z5 paddle and this seemed like the next logical step since I wanted to upgrade to raw carbon. Let me tell you this was a heck of an upgrade. This paddle feels like a lot of the Pro paddles that I ’ ve played with and for less than half the cost. In terms of playability this paddle has a longer feel to it giving you more reach without sacrificing the sweet spot.
