[ I ’ m new to pickleball, but this paddle instantly made a difference in how I play. It ’s lightweight and super comfortable to hold, even during longer games. The 12mm core gives me a nice balance of power and control — not too bouncy, not too soft — just right for someone still learning. I also noticed the carbon surface helps add spin to my shots( which makes me feel a little fancy, not gon na lie), and the grip feels premium and secure, even when I get a bit sweaty. The Agassi design is sleek and stylish — people actually compliment it! I feel like I ’ m learning faster with this paddle. It ’s beginner- friendly but doesn ’ t feel basic. Totally worth it!

I was given this paddle as a Christmas present and I love it. The paddle feels like your catching the ball and placing it wherever you want. I have read other reviews that mentioned it “ feels like a sponge ”. That is a pretty good description. Don ’ t worry though, this thing still has power when you want it. Even better than the paddle is the customer service. I hear guys talking about other big name manufacturers making them jump through hoops for a warranty claim. Not Onix! They take care of their customers. I contacted them about my issue in the morning, sent in pics of my issue and a new paddle was in my hands 2 days later! Because it is a performance paddle, it comes with a 1 year warranty. I read the review and saw the pics of a guy who broke his handle….. just contact Onix. They will replace it within a year. If you ’ re looking for a paddle that will improve your dinks and resets, this is it!

OK, so I 'm a pickleball fanatic... a cross- over after 65 years of playing tennis. I know what it takes to deliver power, spin, and touch from the backcourt, and from the net. I found it all with the Evoke Premier paddle. I purchased the 'heavy' model, which gives my shots that extra pop I want. The surface is nicely textured, and delivers all the spin I can muster. If I could find any room for improvement in the Evoke Premier, it would be the material used for the handle, which can get quite slippery under humid conditions. Some overwrap took care of that. Although this frame has been around for awhile, I highly recommend it.

Our family has really gotten into playing pickleball. We purchased entry level paddles and they were fine, but we wondered if a nicer paddle might be worth investing in. We went ahead and purchased this paddle and we can see the difference. It is a much nicer quality. If you are getting more serious about paddleball, it would be worth it.

My Daughter is new to pickleball. After trying several paddles she chose this one for 2 primary reasons: 1. weight was good, not too heavy and not too light 2. grip material was sticky and comfortable to hold vs other paddles

Tennis players transitioning to pickleball should consider paddles that offer a balance of power and control. Look for paddles with a larger sweet spot, which can help improve accuracy and consistency. Additionally, the weight and grip size are important factors, as they can affect swing speed and comfort during play.
The material of a pickleball paddle can significantly influence its performance characteristics. Paddles made from composite materials often provide better durability and a larger sweet spot, while wooden paddles can offer a more traditional feel. Understanding the differences in materials can help players choose a paddle that complements their playing style.
The ideal weight for a pickleball paddle can vary based on personal preference, but many tennis players find that paddles weighing between 7.5 to 8.5 ounces offer a good balance of power and maneuverability. Heavier paddles can provide more power, while lighter paddles allow for quicker reactions at the net. It's important to try different weights to find what feels most comfortable.
Yes, the shape of a pickleball paddle can affect gameplay, especially for those with a tennis background. Paddles with a wider body can offer a larger hitting surface, which may be beneficial for players who are used to the larger sweet spot of a tennis racket. Additionally, elongated paddles can provide extra reach, which can be an advantage at the net.
Beginner paddles typically prioritize ease of use and control, often featuring a larger sweet spot and lighter weight. Advanced paddles, on the other hand, may focus on providing more power and spin capabilities, often utilizing high-quality materials and specific designs to enhance performance. Understanding these differences can help players choose a paddle that matches their skill level.
Grip size is crucial for comfort and control when using a pickleball paddle. A grip that is too small can lead to excessive wrist movement, while a grip that is too large can hinder maneuverability. Tennis players should consider their grip size preferences from tennis when selecting a paddle, as this can impact their overall performance and enjoyment of the game.
