I was nervous to try a new paddle for my first ever 4. 0 pickleball tournament, but it ended up being the best decision I 've made! My partner and I ended up getting the gold!!! I bought this paddle a month ago because I wanted a foam paddle. Holbrooks Dual Density foam core interested me a lot and it did not disappoint at all! The power is very springy and it can really launch the ball. On the other hand, I noticed the ability I had to control the bal for resets, blocks, dinks, drops, was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this paddle! It will be my main paddle I use now!

It sounds cliche, but this paddle has been an absolute game changer. The amount of power I am able to consistently generate is so noticeable, but there ’s also so much touch/control with the dual density foam core. Compared to some of the other big brand names, this has been the best paddle by far.

Lotto Ultimo Pro 16mm Pickleball Paddle is the real deal. I was amazed how light this paddle was, when I first got it. The handle is longer than my other paddles, which was good. I ’ ve been using the Hype X paddle for a few days now, and it ’s honestly taken my game to another level. The feel off the paddle is super clean — every shot just pops the way I want it to. It ’s lightweight but still solid enough to drive the ball with real power. What surprised me most is the control — I ’ m placing dinks and drops with way more confidence. If you ’ re serious about improving, this paddle ’s a game- changer!
5
PickleMatt
Been playing with the Hype X for a bit now and I ’ m really liking it. The feel is super solid — nice and responsive without being too stiff. There ’s a noticeable pop that makes drives and quick shots feel really satisfying. It ’s also got a good balance — doesn ’ t feel too heavy but still gives you something behind the ball. Definitely feels like an upgrade without trying too hard. Just a good paddle that plays well.

I am relatively new to the sport — I am still expanding my knowledge on paddle tech and experimenting with the range of Onix paddles. I must say, I love playing with the Onix Hype X! In the few short lessons that I have had, this paddle has helped increase spin and control for me. It's helped make me more confident in my game. I bought this 6 months ago and have playing with it non stop. I 'm about a 4. 5 in skill level and can just about place the ball how ever I want to. I love the shape and style of the paddle. The length is great for quick hands up at the kitchen and for the hard to reach defense shots that make you take a step back or lean just out of reach. The shorter handle works for me. My only complaint I 'd like for Onix to upgrade the handle strength and overall materials for the core of the C1 Summit. This shape and style of paddle could easily compete against the quality paddles of Selkirk Vanguard and the Paddletek Bantam and Tempest. Onix team, if your listening, I hope that this is something being discussed for future development, I 'd be happy to be an ambassador for this style of paddle, I 'm looking to start competing this year in NC and hopefully other states as well. C2 Summit?...... One can only hope!

My wife and I love this paddle. It has so much better qualities versus our other one. It ’s lighter, it has a larger surface area, it ’s longer, it has a better grip, and it provides a much more solid strike and control of the ball with minimal effort. Kind of like moving from an inexpensive Hyundai to a well equipped Lexus. Both will get you to your place but one will feel and drive so much better than the other. Now the question of how much usage will I get with the new paddle as my wife has claimed it as hers.

I am now ranked at 3. 5. I 've tried several other paddles over the months, but none quite delivers in ball control and large sweet spot. This is most helpful up at the net, ball speed, and with shot placement. I also now appreciate the grip which holds up better than most, with no stickiness.

I also love the fact that it has an approachable price point and has helped me convinced me to get my friends into it, too!!:)

This is a great paddle for beginners to intermediate players. Great controls for drops and dinking. Colors are fabulous. Great paddle for everyone. The paddle face has a lot of grit for spins. Fit and finish is top notch. Grip is long enough for two handed back hand.

Great paddles for beginners and intermediates. It has good control and just enough power. The surface texture helps to grip the ball on spins.

I wanted to take a minute just to share my satisfaction with this great paddle. I 'm extremely happy with it. I 'm a huge fan of its clean and elegant design, but more importantly, its performance has been outstanding. As someone who enjoys dinking, the 16mm thickness offers me all the control I need.

great paddle. really like the power and control it offered. The handle size is pretty size, not very short or to long. I have been playing with it for many months and it holds pretty good. Now show some wear and team but overall I would highly recommend it. No complaints about reach, responsiveness and stability.

I ’ ve been testing out the Hype X Pro for a few days, and the first thing I noticed was the spin — it's insane. The raw carbon fiber face really grips the ball, giving me way more control on topspin drives and sharp angles. The elongated shape gives it great reach at the net and on wide returns, which has already saved me a few points. It still feels solid and responsive, and the power is definitely there when you need it. If you like to shape your shots and cover more court, this one delivers big.

This paddle has great balance between power and touch. I was previously using the Premier Raw Carbon 14 and really liked that paddle. But once I started using the Hype X Pro more and more, I felt it gave me a lot more touch at the net but provided me with solid baseline power. It also felt nicer having the extended handle for the two- hand backhand. It's my new paddle of choice for sure!

I just decided to get this paddle after hearing some good feedback from others, and I ’ m blown away. The core gives such a satisfying bounce, it ’s super responsive. The paddle design looks clean and feels super solid.

I needed an upgrade from my Z5 paddle and this seemed like the next logical step since I wanted to upgrade to raw carbon. Let me tell you this was a heck of an upgrade. This paddle feels like a lot of the Pro paddles that I ’ ve played with and for less than half the cost. In terms of playability this paddle has a longer feel to it giving you more reach without sacrificing the sweet spot. Overall highly recommend this paddle for both beginner/intermediate players and even more advanced players that don ’ t want to spend pro paddle money.

I now own three of these. I purchased my first one in August of 2025 and fell in love at first use. The power is top notch, and it controls my shots well. I wanted the newest color and it was out of stock almost everywhere so when I found it at Dick's, I bought two paddles!

[ Love the SLK ERA paddle. It is very balanced with power and control. Light paddle with fast swing path. Grip is tacky and comfortable. The handle is long for effortless two handed backhand. Can attack at kitchen and hit the softer dinks as well. Great well rounded paddle

[ I have had this paddle for 2 weeks and I can not put it down. The sweet spot is the largest I have seen in a paddle. It has an amazing balance between power and control. If someone is looking for a power paddle this is it! If you are looking for a good control paddle, this is it! The surface is a balance between carbon and fiberglass and is remarkably gritty which gives you great spin on your shots. You have to get this paddle!

Works well ... Much better than the wood ones that came with our net
Longer pickleball paddles offer several advantages, including increased reach and leverage, which can enhance your ability to hit the ball effectively. They can provide a larger sweet spot, making it easier to connect with the ball. Additionally, the extended handle can improve grip and control, allowing for better maneuverability during play.
The length of a pickleball paddle can significantly influence your gameplay style. Longer paddles can help players generate more power and spin due to their extended reach. However, they may also require adjustments in technique, as they can be less maneuverable than standard-length paddles, particularly in quick exchanges at the net.
Longer pickleball paddles are typically constructed from a variety of materials, including composite and polymer cores, which provide a balance of durability and performance. The paddle surface may be made from materials like fiberglass or carbon fiber, which can enhance ball control and power. Understanding the materials can help you choose a paddle that suits your playing style.
While longer pickleball paddles can benefit players of various skill levels, they may be particularly advantageous for intermediate to advanced players who can utilize their extended reach effectively. Beginners may find standard-length paddles easier to handle as they develop their skills. Ultimately, the choice should align with your playing style and comfort.
When selecting a longer pickleball paddle, consider factors such as weight, grip size, and balance. A paddle that feels comfortable in your hand and suits your playing style is essential for optimal performance. Additionally, think about the type of play you engage in, as some paddles may be better suited for power shots while others excel in control.
