These are just the thing for small mouth in WV Streams. Using them Texas Rigged and no weight, throw them into some fast water leading into a pool and hold on. Went out trout fishing and they were ONLY biting on THESE lures! I went through at least a dozen different lures/bait without a single nibble before stringing one of these up. After that, all I used were these lures and caught all day long! I clipped an 1/8oz split shot on the lure right above the blade( making sure that the blade could still spin freely) to give me better casting distance with my spinning rod and it was just the right distance at just the right depth. I used a slow to medium retrieve method with nothing fancy and the result was amazing! There were several times in a row that I did n't reel in without a fish at the end of my line!
