My son got the 2024- 10 USSSA The Goods( Travel) and the 2023- 10 USA The Goods( Rec) for xmas. The 2024 barrel is much longer and is larger than the 2023 model( 2 3/4 '' compared to 2 5/8 ''). The 2024 model is better balanced, has more pop, a larger sweet spot, and an excellent sound off the barrel. The 2023 is great for a USA certified bat, but does n't compare. Time will tell about durability. I 'd like to see a better grip on both. I also wish the USSSA model had the same finish as the BBCOR, the graphics took a step back this year.

My 9- year- old loves this bat! We did a ton of research and had him try out a lot of different types of bats as he was upgrading from a 27 to 29 inch bat for this upcoming season. He is a strong hitter but has an issue with casting. My 8 year old son swings this pretty well. He's swinging a 30/20. When he barrels it up, no vibrations. Hit on the handle or end cap, he feels it. I do n't see that as a problem. I see that as reinforcement to make sure you hit the ball with the barrel. I mean you really only have to touch a hot stove once to learn that lesson. I switched my 8 y/o from a composite hype fire to this mid- season for travel ball, 8u. Although this is heavier(- 10 vs- 12), he hit the ball harder with it and I feel it had more pop for him. I honestly do not believe many smaller coach pitch players have the bat head speed in their swing to get the full benefit from a composite bat. My closest Dick's just happened to have 1 left in stock in his size so I grabbed it and I am glad I did. If he does n't outgrow it, he will use it next year in 9u.

I bought this for my son for Christmas, normally we stick to a one piece but this time he picked the two piece hybrid. This bat is Hot out of the wrapper, has gotten a ton of compliments on it as well, Marucci has done it again. It had plenty of pop out of the box. My son has used in about 8 games now. Still hitting great and holding up really well. Even the paint which is important to me because I resale them later. My son swings this a Meta, a Zoa, and a Hype fire. He is hitting this bat better than all of them and I ’ m not sure if it ’s because of having more pop or a more forgiving barrel.
