28 ”- 10 is. 65oz ’s lighter than the ICON and ultimately why we chose the hype. Sweet spot is increased compared to 2024 model, zero sting on hands regardless of where you hit it. As a travel coach, over the last 2 years I ’ ve got to see every single legit bat available to purchase( ages 8U- 14U) and if you want the very best bats available it ’s Hype Fire or Rawlings ICON, period. At$ 399 I know it ’s a big investment( so I ’ d recommend the extended warranty and try to push 2 years out of it) but they ’ re the most juiced bats with the biggest sweet spots, and even at 8U add legit distance. My older kiddo swung a 1 price Marucci for years( now the ICON- 5 at 14U and- 8 at 13U last year) and I wish I would have moved to 2 piece( even Marucci) sooner. Again, they add some much pop and for the younger guys completely eliminate hands getting stung. To each either own…but if I ’ m gon na spend 250- 300 for a good bat, I ’ ll spend the extra 150 and buy the very best available. Lastly, if you ’ re pretty particular like me, take a digital mail/food scale in and weight out your different bat choices…I think you ’ ll be very surprised how much a “ 18oz ” from 4 different brands can vary in weight.

The design looks super cool, with bright colors that stand out. It feels like a bat made for hitting BOMBS! Swing& Pop This bat swings really fast, which helps me get to the ball quicker. When I hit the ball, it sounds loud and has a ton of pop. My hits were going way farther than with my old bat. It almost felt like I had extra power! Comfort& Feel The grip is really nice and doesn ’ t slip in my hands. It ’s also comfortable to hold, even after a bunch of swings. The bat doesn ’ t feel heavy at all, so I could swing without getting tired. It ’s also versatile. No matter whether I ’ m indoors or out, the power is there. I got this for my 11 yr old( last fall) who plays rec ball. He really likes to swing a one piece and this bat has been his overall favorite. I do n't want to try and compare it to others but after spending this much$ on a bat, I 'm always looking for feedback from him to know if it was a good/bad purchase. It's so well balanced and his hand/eye coordination are so good, he rarely misses( he likes to strike out looking not swinging). The grip is sticky, and the ping of the bat is deafening. When we 're at the indoor cages, it's really easy to find him simply due to the ear shattering noise this bat makes. He's probably hit 500- 600 baseballs with it on a pitching machine@ ~60mph and there's no damage to the bat at this time.
