For the price this bat is great. Huge sweet spot and you can really tell the difference between a$ 40. 00 bat and a$ 100. 00 bat. Do your kid a favor, dont skimp on price for a good bat. But, you dint have to spend$ 200. 00 either. The grip isnt that well made on this bat. But the lizard skins totally fixed that problem.

Although this bat is an ounce heavier than his previous bat, my son said it felt like it was lighter with the same pop-- hence the balance. My son is a gap to gap hitter so a balanced bat like this is better for him than a more end- loaded bat. We ’ ve had this bat for three weeks, and it ’s been great for my 8 year- old. He ’s transitioning from a 28 ”- 12 one piece composite( due to crack) to this 28 ”- 11, and it feels well- balanced and comfortable. The bat has solid pop, though not as much as his one- piece composite, possibly due to the added weight. Very little sting, and it doesn ’ t make a loud ping like some other alloys. He loves the pommel knob design and the unique look, almost like a wood bat. It seems well- constructed, and he ’s happy with it so far. I ’ d definitely recommend it.
