I bought self- sealing tubes for my bike not knowing if they would work. I was happily surprised to learn that tubes work great but lose a bit of air when thorns are pulled out. This pump works great in filling the tires back up to appropriate tire pressure and saving you from a long walk home. Very compact. Nice volume of air for such a small unit. Now I understand the science of how these wonderful products allow you to enjoy the joys of cycling with a minimum of headaches and inconveniences. Extremely happy with my purchase!!!

Purchased along with a new bicycle. Despite the salesperson's recommendation, I purchased this pump. I have no other comparison, but it works better than I thought it would. Once you start getting close to recommended pressure, it gets harder, but you can still pump air into the tire.
