Setting up a kayak to fish can be challenging. Small spaces, things need to be multi functional. Yak Attack gear is on the cutting edge of what is available for your Yak. It however will take a few outting to dial in your rig. Theses rod holder hold all types of rod reel combos, I use them for fly rods. There is a lot of room within the holder, it would be nice if things were tighter, but rods are are not falling off the Yak even if the boat is flipped over. The Yak tracks Are the best in the business. and their anchor setup is the only way to go. Dicks needs to carry the full line of products in all stores.

The instructions, including the template on the inside of the box, were very descriptive and allowed for an easy install. I did discover However, that I needed to put a Backing plate under the mount to make it a bit more secure with the weight of the motor. Otherwise, it ’s an exceptional solution. If there are any cons to the device, it might be the price, but considering the amount of machining and tolerances that are necessary to make it as functional as it is, the value is definitely there. I would purchase it again if needed.

This Old Town 106 power by Minnkota is a game changer. I would compare this to more of a one- man boat as it is so incredibly stable, comfortable and easy to use. Fishing capability and storage organization is so well thought of. It truly provides a hands free fishing experience. Battery life has been great as I can be out for 8+ hours trolling around and still have juice to spare. This is running with a normal Group 27 DC lead acid battery which is also powering my fish finder. The only suggestion for improvement would be to provide an auxiliary power connection for those that wish to run both the trolling motor and fish finder off the same battery. I had to splice in my own auxiliary power connection off the 12V main lead. Other than that this kayak has met my needs right out of the box and I would say is worth every penny. I have had it for 2 months now and every time I use it still brings a smile to my face!

Kit worked well. I changed the mount from inside the trailer to outside( who wants to lose space in the trailer bed?) by getting some additional u- bolts and L- brackets to replace the bottom mounting plates. I did have to replace the bolts used to attach the tie down points, as the wrench needed to tighten them would not reach inside the cross bar.$ 2. 50 worth of slightly smaller bolts, nuts and washers fixed the issue. I still need to cut off the excess bolt threads, but it is going to work great for carrying kayaks while still allowing the trailer to be used for hauling other items.

We own a 2016 two door Jeep Wrangler Sport and was looking for a way to carry two Kayaks on top. A Thule representative was very helpful. My setup is the Thule Rapid Gutter Foot Pack, Thule WingBar Evo 150 and Thule Compass carrier. Installed on a Wilderness Pungo 120 using You Tube directions. The written directions were confusing. Using You Tube, installation was a piece of cake. I 've only used the set up twice. Each trip it worked great. The second trip was windy with 10- 13 mph. winds. Anchored with the wind at my back so I was able to cast left, right and front. Purchased this and have used it a few times with a sit- on kayak. The installation was easy and simple. We put it on the car in the Dick's parking lot since we also purchased the kayak from Dick's and needed to get it home( obviously). It easily installed on our Subaru roof rack. I like having the ability to fold down the cradle so we can keep it on even when not transporting the kayak. We 'll take it off during the winter, but no reason to remove it at the moment!

This thing looks small but is so nice. I love the portability of it. It breaks down so I can store it in my cargo area on my kayak. It is pricey, but when I went out on the water a few days ago in the thick fog I felt confident enough that another boater would see me because I had the light and a flag. Its really nice because as I paddle it moves with the kayak, so it ’s making some sort of light action back and forth to notify the other persons on the water
